Although everybody is crying out for something to be done with the Air tunnel I very much doubt anything will happen. It's not something that the everyday visitor really cares about, and with the parks attitude to theming being as lapse as it is I can pretty much guarentee nothing will be changed.

...thats why no-one used the sun promotion. The only reason anyone would even consider buying the sun is for page 3, as the newspaper itself is so terrible. They wouldn't notice the rest of the paper or the offer. Most people who would be interested in the offer are gay, therefore wouldn't be inter...

I'm a sceptic about anything paranormal, I enjoy watching Most Haunted mainly to see what Derek Acorah comes out with next :) Interesting old article about most haunted here: http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/tm_objecti ... _page.html Should be interesting watching none the less, does anybody know where ...

What's unacceptable is when your park has THREE Intamins that experience problems. Then you go and decide to put in another one. LOL!! But, Intamin pushes the limits of coaster technology, so that's why they have downtime I'm guessing. I'm looking forward to seeing how Maverick at Cedar Point gets ...

Fire In Merry England

Not a very bad one, but it's still more bad luck for the Towers :) As posted on www.towersnerd.com http://towersnerd.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1163 (BBC) A road sweeper fire that spread to a nearby building at Alton Towers theme park has been put out by firefighters. Crews were called to the pa...

The new Air theme music is crap in comparison to the old one

http://www.themedmusic.com/attractions.html

Alton seemed to have commissioned this website to make the music for Air, an artist called habgood being the actual composer.

Just thought i'd let ya'll know :)

Hi all, I got a 'Complimentary 2006' ticket earlier in the year and have already used it once. As nothing other than 'Complimentary 2006' & 'Valid to 29/10/06' has been printed, is it re-usable? Or will the barcode become invalid? If somebody could help me out I would appreciate it. Cheers :wink...

I remember thinking Oblivion would be a coaster that launched you out of the ground and my friend thought the Thunder Looper would be put under ground with the two spires sticking out of two holes :) thought Hex would be a rollercoaster which whizzed in and around the towers!

I've always thought Spinball looks very tempory, even with the minimal themeing, like its only there for a few years as a stop gap for somthing bigger.

My thoughts exactly, i've always thought of it as being the modern day Alton Mouse :)

What a fantastic website! Big thumbs up to whoever made it :) Those pictures of it on opening day really show how much effort used to be put into making the opening of new rides that bit more special, that truely was the golden era of Alton :)

My favourite bit was in Episode 2 with Air's opening day. They followed two 'enthusiasts' trying to be first to ride. That skinhead was way too into it! If I remember he had tears in his eyes because he thought air was so 'beautiful'! :) The only other episode I watched was when this lad with...

August 15th trip report, not good.....

As we all know Alton Towers is undoubtedly the U.K's no. 1 theme park, and i've always said this safe in knowlege that nobody could argue with it. I've visited Alton Towers for as long as I can remember and have always admired the the way that the park was run, the imagination put into new rides and...

I was thinking about what the Black Hole tent should be used for and I still think an Intamin Pasquier Ride would work, themed around some sort of human testing facility. It'd be called 'Anopsia', meaning 'Defect or absence of sight; blindness' :) The Ride: http://www.ridetrade.com/img/BILDER/r_S .....
