Just to confirm - the monorail runs everyday again now! The idea of closing it in the week got scrapped after a couple of days!!!

As far as i'm aware the only ride with a long term closure at the moment is the Runaway mine train.

No info at all, only that the Minetrain, Rita and the Sky Ride are all closed until further notice.

I am also visiting the park soon (Monday), and I will be dissapointed if Rita is closed  . Lets hope it's a minor hitch. I already knew about the Minetrain being closed, but I really don't want to miss out on Rita as well.

Really? I wouldn't have thought it would have been too busy today.

Maybe a lot of schools finished yesterday, or a lot of kids took the day off  .

I'm really annoyed that Rita has broken down yet again. I'm sure that AT will desperately want it available for next week as its half term for the schools.

I am going tomorrow and am once again disappointed as this is the 3rd time this year I have gone to the park and RITA has only been open once.

I have been reading that the launch drum is damaged, can this be confirmed?

If RITA is going to be closed tomorrow then I might aswell reshedule my outing :)

Being the Dumbass I am, when you say that sounds serious I know that means it could be out for a while but how long is serious downtime?

Well I'm not sure really, but since the park is only open for 1 more week (2 if you include the adrenaline thing), it could mean that it will remain closed till next season  . This is of course the worst case scenario.

I am really hoping that it isn't this serious and that it can be fixed soon.

(I was also hoping that the Minetrain would re-open, but that doesn't look very likely either now)

Wasn't there a problem with the drum at the beginning of this year?

IIRC they didn't bother to replace it they just tried to fix it. Something seems a bit off though if a key component doesn't even last a year.

If they don't get it sorted for the fireworks the queues elsewhere are going to be awful with 2 coasters down.

Will there be some sort of money returned/free tickets/personal dance if it is closed on the fireworks. It will be a major incovience especially as its my Annual trip.

I doubt it, unless you have purchased the more expensive 'Rita Speeding Ticket', then you might have an argument.

The drum has been faulty since installation, but only noticed the first time that RITA closed. The technicians tried a "fix" as to install a new drum would take weeks. Unfortunately, it looks like the "fix" has finally failed once again

Maybe some sort of "mend" would work. Tbh hoest if it is unavailble for eletric towers to me although it is a alright ride is just one less queue which isn't bad as that was not included on our fastpasses.

The car park didnt look that full, but the coach park was. There were a lot of kids about.

I was hoping it would be dead today, thought wrong though, lol
