Does anyone know if Gold Cards (bus passes) are accepted on Alton Towers Transport
ie buses X52 and X53?

A relative was asking me and I'm not sure if passes are allow or not :)
Whatever the weather outside it\'s always tropical at Cariba Creek

Hello everyone,

just wondering if rides like Ripsaw and Submission are what you could say are 'sickly' rides to go on. I have never really been on a proper flat ride you see, and I would like to have a go on Submisson and Ripsaw on my next visit.

Thanks in advance.

Compared to many flats, neither are sickly. Ripsaw and Submission are both fairly tame, both look a lot worse than they are and are nowhere near as intense as the likes of Nemesis, Rita, Oblivion etc.

:)

Yeah absolutely agree with that Dan. Personally i'm more liable to feeling sick after Maurader's Mayhem.

So do you have to book tickets to get in or can you pay on the gate?
Im looking at using the 2-for-1 vouchers.

Booking your tickets in advance would just mean you'd be playing it safe and that you could go straight into the park waiting for ride opening at ten. Due to the extended opening hours there is no Early Ride Time during the Scarefest, so the only real advantage to booking online is the £8 saving or whatever it is nowadays.

You'll be fine with buying on the day and saving even more cash with your 2-for-1 voucher, you just might have to queue a bit when getting your tickets.

Does anybody know the price of a Bounce back ticket during Scarefest?
I have some friends coming along with me, I have a half price voucher for one day, but just need to get entry for the second day.
A friend just bought bounce back for Fright Nights at Thorpe which were £18 each, so I was wondering if Alton also put their prices up during events?

It will be the same price - £9.00 for the next day / £14.00 for any day.

Well, it remains to be seen if they increase the gate tariff on October 17th... They usually do but after rises already this season it would be a bit steep.

Mid-week outside of halfterm. First week of Scarefest should be quietest as that also avoids the schools that have an earlier halfterm.

How long does the bus journey from the park to Uttoxeter train station usually take at the end of the day?

I can't find it on the website and I'm trying to work out what time we'd be getting the train home, going on Saturday :D

Hey guys, what's the ERT line-up at the moment? I've looked around and don't know how up-to-date what I've found is.

Hi Guys,
A quick one from an old regular reader...

I have two sun tickets for use on Sunday 4th. (I wasnt going to go but the chance of looking at the SW6 site and stariing at the track in the carpark is too great  )

Do i need to queue at the ticket booths, or can i just go straight to the turnstiles and put my ticket in?

Thanks!
