I was just wondering about the scale of the cross valley woody? How big was the first drop, I can't seem to find it anywhere #-o

Hi Guys,
A quick one from an old regular reader...

I have two sun tickets for use on Sunday 4th. (I wasnt going to go but the chance of looking at the SW6 site and stariing at the track in the carpark is too great  )

Do i need to queue at the ticket booths, or can i just go straight to the turnstiles and put my ticket in?

Thanks!

You should be able to go straight to the turn styles, if it's anything like the one's a couple of friends used. It should look similar to a regular ticket, with bar code. :)

It was the area near the Flag Tower and just behind where the Cloud Cuckoo Land now is (specifically the Peugeot Driving School and Charlie Chocolate Factory area) and the coasters there had to be removed in the early 90s because of noise complaints and safety issues (it is about the nearest part of the park to Alton Village).

This post here has a lot more about it.

To get free parking for having an annual pass do you just show the pass when you leave the car park or do the park need to know the cars registration number?
Whatever the weather outside it\'s always tropical at Cariba Creek

You show your pass as you leave the car park, they do not require the registration. :)

That's what's known as the Back-up pin. Basically if the restraints ever do fail (very unlikely) and open... you wont ever come off whilst in the flying position as that pin is the failsafe :) Basically stops you from falling flat on your face.

I believe Ripsaw is 'toned down' whenever the weather is colder/cloudier/wetter - it's only on warm/hot days where you'll get wet and even then, hardly ever soaked, unless you're on the last ride of the day in the summer!
Battle Galleons is the real soaker ride...

---- Post Info Added ----

My own question:

Can you turn up and buy Field of Screams/Boiler House tickets during Scarefest or do they have to be pre-booked?
We're thinking of going on 22nd October but can't get to the park until 1.30 p.m, and can't definitely decide on going until the day itself.

Cheers!

Scarefest ERT

Thu Oct 08, 2009 3:30 pm

Just got my tickets and the letter says that I can get ERT on both days I'm going during Scarefest. Is this a mistake on thier standard letter or are they infact allowing ERT?

It is a mistake. A mistake they made last year as well. The same mistake seems to apply to hotel bookings as well in the past, though I'm not sure if that is the case this year.

Last year I spoke to a family stopping at the hotel who were waiting to enter the park. They were completely unaware that there was no ERT. They even showed me their stuff they had got which clearly stated that ERT was available when it wasn't.

This has probably been asked for before, but did a quick search and couldn't find one. So, could any one tell me an email address to contact Alton Towers with? It's about a charity event I would like to see if they will let us do (ride roller coaster x amount of times etc).
Thanks

Thanks for the reply, would it be this form?
http://www.altontowers.com/contact-us/feedback/
its the only one I can find and its for feedback.

And I am guessing they will say no, but it is always worth a try, and it will be during the adrenaline week, so shouldn't be much ques, so you never know :P
