I didn't think the ascent after the drop was that steep or long! Woah. They did well at the towers.

The magic factory video has a good shot of how deep the hole is and how the track curves underground. Also i good video too watch in full for the construction of Oblivion.

I still find it hard to equate the size of Oblivion to the area it seems to occupy. It really, really is an amazing bit of design!

Oh, and for the Thunder Valley (pre Nemesis piccies)

ATA have two great shots showing where the parthenogenic monster would rise from:

The way that i figured it out was a 65 foot lift hill and that brings the upper conveyor level at around 90 foot above ground, (You need to take into account the different land levels all around the area.) When the shuttle reaches the drop conveyor it is around 95 foot above normal land level then the hole which is a few more feet below that, so a free fall in open air is around 110/115 feet and the other 70/65 odd feet is unseen underground.

Also Oblivion Is the most awesome ride of modern times believe it or not. :D

id say about 16mts for oblivion
and about 30mts deep for nemesis

[in comparison to the thunder loopers loop i bet you could fit that loop in the hole bury it then carve a tunnel out and have the first under ground looping coaster]
now that would be fun

a completley out of the hat guess but worth a shot

Oblivions total drop is approx 180 feet. It is about 100 feet above ground with a further 80ft underground.

That pic of G5 is pretty amazing, given that the dimensions of the coaster are exact replicar of Oblivions... Even down to that raised path being at the same level that we would know the hole to be. So, all in all, it's amazing just how deep that hole was (I remember JW himself being quoted as saying "You drop 60ft into a hole and as much again underground"...

Also, G5 is how the blueprint would look in something like RCT3.. Amazing. The bit of track at the end looks tiny when you look at the rest of the ride!

BTW nothing was in the place of nemesis (the pictures show the monorail on the other side of Thunder looper) 'The new beast' which was in the place where ripsaw and air now are, was removed in 1997 which means that 'nemesis' and 'the NB' both were in thunder valley for 3 years.
Also here are my points that oblivions drop is 180ft long
1. Griffon and Sheikra (200 ft) both go at around 70mph at the bottom of the drop, but oblivion (180ft) goes at 68mph, and 1mph per 10ft does work out (also including the larger train size)
2. The vertical to flat curve on oblivion is huge (that is why you don't get crushed at the bottom) but if you go on Griffon or Sheikra the bottom of the drop is much tighter and therefore it is much more intense.
