Im with theflamingbrick on this being Intamin, his post makes a whole lot of sense when you look at the plans, its a very similar style. More so than all the rest I'd say.

This sums up things at the moment.

We can go looking at all the different ride manufacturers, but none of us really know for sure what it is. And we won't until we hear either some offical word from the Resort or see track on site.

Its funny - For Oblivion, SW4, we knew the ride manufacturer before anything else. This time around, we're sure of almost everything bar the manufacturer. (& of course that 'Mystery Section')

Even if this ride isn't officaly a Secret Weapon, it deffinately has everything the previous rides have had - This sence of excitement and feeling of unknown.

Finally - To be perfectly honest, in my opinion, I feel the ride manufacturer is irrelevent.

It'll be themed around the remains of a crypt that was discovered on the site of Corkscrew. I presume you'll enter the building on an adventure to find this crypt through the woods, going on an adventure through the trees and remains giving the impression that you're going far away. At the end of the ride, you'll find this crypt, something will happen - Which is presumably some sort of hidden passage which holds a curse, loads of fire and explosions, something happens, you go launching out of the crypt backwards and back into the station.

....in my opinion :D

I'm still one to belive that the ride will be Intamim.
For intamin, just look at Colossus, it has some thin-track, like on SW6, and some thick track. Who says that SW6 doesen't have thick-track inside the building? :)

^ Well.. the reasoning for having tri and quad tracks on Intamins are because of the forces the track comes under, so less forces they would have bi-rail, more forceful tri-rail, even more forceful quad-rail.

So SW6 if it was Intamin (which i hope it is  ) could have tri or quad track in the building.. but the the G Forces throughout the layout would need tri track at least considering the size of the drop in comparison the to layout.
Id associate 4g to -1g with the layout I reckon :D

Just thinking about this. Could you have tri track that could be spun around 180o with the train attached to it?

Basically it's gonna be Gloomy Wood #2.
Utter guest confusion.

Gloomy Wood is zombies and a haunted house.

SW6 is similar to Hex and a rollercoaster.

I see no confusion.

maybe they are planning on turning the area into a 'gloomy wood v.2' and build a new haunted house ride there with additional rides to make more of a feature of the theme, which suits AT well.

That could then allow for my dream.. expand on the katanga canyon area into a mining / western theme.
Pirate theme + Western Theme = :D

Katanga Canyon re-themed? Nooo, that would just be murder. To me it's the best area on park!

Been studying all coaster supports and track in fine detail trying to match up what is on the plans.
My conclusion as the similarities are so close is that Vekoma are the coaster manufactures.

This is looking very much like a mini expedition everest

If the area is re-themed to fit in with Hex, the only way to get to Cloud cukoo land would be to walk through it? Unless they make another entrance to it?
Also what on earth are they going to do to Rita?
Unless like many have said its similar to Expedition Everest, then it will just be a small corner of Alton Towers dedicated to an archeological find .... and no re-theme?

I think what we really need now is some more information as this topic is going around in circles and the main thing that keeps popping up is who is making the ride.

I'm not bothered about who makes it, as long as we have a great ride that's well themed at the end then I'm a happy guy.

Leroy2009jones, I think you should elaborate more on your posts. Just saying one word is pointless. I know you've made enough points before but there's no point in posting pointless things up again. I'm not trying to start an argument just saying...

I think the ride will have a Hex-y feel but won't be connected to the actual Hex ride.

It will just have the same general idea and theme. More Hex 2.0.

leroy2009jones, people would actually believe you a bit more if you added some decent reasons to why you believe its definitely a B&M.
