Import a ride

Wed Mar 18, 2009 11:04 pm

If you could bring 1 ride from any other park in the world to Alton Towers what would it be? It can be as crazy as my suggestion which is for Alton to have the ultimate. It would be an awsome coaster to have spread around the park. I would have the station in gloomy wood and have it head off towards ugland and back round as like a small tour coaster of the park.

Maverick from cedar point, not sure where it would fit though!

I would bring Kingda Ka into Alton Towers :!:
Would be possibly the most awesome thing ever to be able to ride the world's fastest and tallest roller coaster in the best theme park in the UK :) :D

I'd probably make it something historic - blackpools roller coaster perhaps...

Eeeesh great topic!

Ummm realistically id say Amazing Adventures Of Spiderman and id put it by forbidden valley theme it as a Aliens/Ghostbusters theme that was very realistic and serious. About people going to explore an old maintinence shed that has been taken over by the Nemesis monster

Unrealistically Expedition Everest :)

Erm... hmm. I'm not sure really, but perhaps (totally unrealistic) Dragon Kahn from PortAventura, and Synkope from Terra Mitica, although just chose that one because it has a cool name :P

I'm not going to be realistic but suggest X from 6 flags. With some Alton magic that could make one hell of a rollercoaster even better...

hey mr stu you may have opened a can there for a future drop tower for alton based around the tower it self. Never thought how much that type of ride would fit so easily into the park!

Mine would be T-Express from Everland, Korea. I think it looks awesome (basically El Toro and Balder's love child!), and the UK could really do with a good new woodie imo. Also it would probably be the only chance I'd have of ever riding it....

Unrealistically SAW- The Ride or Colossus from Thorpe Park or Splash Mountain from Magic Kingdom.

Realistically either Rollercoaster, since it's closing at PBB or Samurai from Thorpe.

how about the Corkscrew from Flamingo land?
:(
but seriously...
I would bring Furios Baco from Port Aventura and Kumba from Busch Gardens Tampa and maybe Kingda Ka, just to piss the locals off!

To be releastic I'd import Stampida from PortAventure, instead of SW6. I'd just imagine it to be really good and could tie in with Rita perfectly. Not quite as Stampida, but as something like two racers, have returned to Thunder Rock Rally to race in the forbidden race-zone. Half way through the competitors, who you hear V.I.A a radio link-up in your car tell you that they want to go into the woods, where no racer has been before and that's where most of the ride happens. :D

Unrealistically, I'd import Hurakian Condor from PortAventura to have it inside the towers ruins and themed to something not to different from Hex. :)

Omg..Kingda Ka, but have it almost entirely underground. That would be amazing. Completely trippy experience. Have the top of the hat on eyeline with standing height, so you are looking at the top of a 456 drop from walking level.

Wow.

A realistic post here, I would imprt Maelstrom from Drayton Manor just because I think that ride is so much fun, has high capacity and is a realistic ride Alton could build. I would put it in the blades hole.

Unrealistic, Pirates of the Caribbean ride from California. Would fit so well in MB. I know it's not a coaster but I do love pirates!
Thanks for riding the Runaway Minetrain, we hope you enjoyed your trip. Choo! Choo!

I'm going to be different and have some decent attractions!

Firstly, I like Stu's idea of Tower of Terror...

But personally I'd bring in some Walt Disney classics such as Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion, just because I think that's the kind of family ride Alton Towers should install.

I'd quite like to see Expedition Everest style ride at Alton Towers; Maybe Expedition Dungheap? :P
