I REALLY hope the on-ride photo is on the drop.
On the central tonight footage, there appears to be a flash as the train drops.

So that's who Morwenna Angove is :o

I hope Alton now market this as the "Worlds First Freefall Drop Rollercoaster", I hope the "Ultimate Rollercoaster" marketing stops now!

After watching the GMTV clip a few more times and the Central news report I'm looking more forward to this, but that drop is quite violent?!

I like that little piece of Wraith theming behind Morwenna.

Likewise Alton, if you read this, put my name down for that statue when the ride is eventually closed.

The Central clip is a Thousand times better than GMTV, and has got me looking forward to this weekend even more.

Thanks for the upload Dave,

For the people who were there that day on Th13teen, a quick question but what is the height restriction? Because my 8 year old sister says she is dying to get on this ride after seeing the video from GMTV. So I am hoping for a response for something like 1.2metres, as those little lap bars on the trains look for that type of height for a person. It would be a bit silly for Alton to make the height restriction 1.4 metres, for little bars like that won't it?!
(Also 1.3 metres would be fine too)!

Great video... shows the drop has a bit of force..

Still bit silly showing what happens inside the building without the FX going on.. as im sure it's going to be 110% amazing with all the effects and music... but at least that video makes up for the pants video this morning... realy cant wait...

Also spotted the last minute added trim breaks on the first drop and another bunny hop hill.. but it dont seem to have made it go too slow.. looks great...

Bring on saturday!

Apologies, I thought it automagically censored it.

Anddd. Seriously, that now looks amazing. Alton Towers must be livid at GMTV, their footage was awful in comparison!

I wouldn't be half surprised if they weren't on BBC breakfast tomorrow with it!

And we finally know what that woman looks like! The one who comes up with those 'amazing' advertising ideas.

May I just say the central tonight report on it looks much much better than the GMTV's one. The second drop looks much scarier and quicker!

After watching it my hope in th13teen has been restored :)

Here is the full report from Central Region News

:D Just to see the full-length clip. It makes the whole ride look so much better. Alton Towers made one of the worst mistakes ever by letting stupid GMTV get there first. Look what it made us assume! It looks so much more exciting now!

So they trimmed the drop and hill? Shame, hopefully it won't be too much, more of a safety thing to stop it going too fast, like the ones at the end of some launch tracks, Velocity and Irn Bru, for example.

Much better! Such an improvement on the GMTV footage, that is how you sell a rollercoaster! There was an explanation, clever camera angle's, and people enjoying the ride! It gave some of the ride away but with the editing it gave the illusion that there was more to come.

Very well done, just a shame it had to come after that shambles shown on GMTV!

But yeah.. that was better. The airtime hills looks like it packs a right punch. I wonder if it'll compete with Rita in terms of airtime. It must travel at a good speed to be trimmed too, considering Wardley hates trims. Maybe they'll turn them off like Air.. the more speed the better, as long as it's safe!

I'm actually quite scared about that drop. The train disappears in the click of a finger, it looks a bit violent

There's a better version. The themeing looks ace!

Oh, and has anyone else noticed the flash just before the drop? ORP perhaps...

Much better... selling the ride properly. Shame the GMTV was National and that wasn't.
