Possible Scarefest Maze Locations

Wed Mar 31, 2010 4:45 pm

With the run up to Scarefest Isn't it about time for another maze on park?

There are some ideal locations for mazes on park -

The Black Hole tent could be used to create one hell of a maze and with the existing queue line in place it's perfect.

The tent behind Squirrel Nutty (Can't remember what used to be in there) is big enough to support a Circus of Horrors style maze.

Even the Hospitality Suite "building" could be used for another good sized maze.

The off park mazes are there purely to bring in more £££ but isn't it about time Alton thought about the thousands who attend Scarefest and end up having to queue upwards of an hour for one maze on park?

oh i agree the black hole tent would make an excellent place for a horror maze
and the tent behind squirrel nutty used to hold the ice shows, for example Peter rabbit and friends, wedmaster and circus of illusions ( i think thats what it was called) but hasnt been used for a few years so that would also be a pretty good place.
I also agree abotu the mazes on the outside, it would be nice to see at least one maze inside included in your park ticket price, like Thorpe Park

They could perhaps do a night walk in the dark forest, we did one at a camp I went ot once, everyone is blind folded and you follow string around a wood being lead by a leader, and there were obsticles and people making noises and splashes water it was all pretty fun, and they could revolve it aorund Thirteen
For some things there is no rational explanation, there is no way out. There is no happy ending to this story.
Welcome to the unknown, welcome to eternal darkness.

Welcome to....

OBLIVION!

I thought the BH bridge had been declared unsafe?

I guess a bit of work could easily solve that problem, the BH tent would be great, it would also bring people to X Sector and would help the whole area. :)

What about the structure where the 3D Cinema thingy used to be? Hell, they could even open it up again now that 3D is taking the world by storm!

apparently one was planned for the black hole tent last year but was pulled due to the knackered bridge.
Id love to see the original entrance used though, with the tight tunnel and dark colours.
It would be so good, make a great use of a space and bring abit of life to x-sector.

Id like a dark forrest maze but theres simply no room so I expect the story to expand into the towers this year.
Although dark forrest as an area MUST go live! Wraiths, tree people etc - great oppertunity.

Other than that i rekon the front lawn but the queues would be awful.
Maybe under nemesis, theres ample space under there to chuck a marquee.

I dont think the old ice tent and hospitality suite are just too close to the kids areas for me.

The park should use the existing ones but just improve on them by putting bigger budgets into them. They definetly need to add one to the dark forest area to spark more life into the area.

Duel live needs to keep the butler but not letting just a few people in at a time as it made the queues too long. Just have him greet people on the way in and have more actors inside the ride.

We had to walk through that so i am guessing they are scrapping the boiler-house or they wouldn't leave it lying there all year?

Or maybe a new boiler-house?

Also they have not planted the seeds for the field yet, they have a few more weeks before its too late but it is usually planted by now and they usually leave the shed up thats used but that has been taken away?
