I could fully understand closing the waterpark to the public at 6/7 and allowing exclusive hotel use from that time till say 9 - 10 pm. The fact the waterpark is no longer inclusive in the hotel "price" is scandalous. Then the cheek to charge you £14 for lets face it, is ana verage water park. You can't tell me they arn't already making a massive profit off you staying there/buying food/drinks/theme park tickets and so on. It's just nothing more than sheer greed.
It also hacks me off big time the lack of differentiation between the two hotels. Now, i'm not talking theming wise here, but just by the exclusive features you get for both.
It matters not if you are staying in the ATH or SLH, whichever you stay in the cost of the waterpark is the same. I'm not sure about the Spa but I assume but you don't get anything off that if you stay in ATH.
I can understand that they wouldn't make Cariba free for SL guests, because then no-one would want to stay at the ATH. Therefore, it should be free for Splash guests and half price for Alton Towers Hotel guests, but then they ATH guests get free entrance to the Spa (but there's no way treatments would be free in any case).
Another ludicrous thing is booking with your hotel room a package to include the golf - I mean who books mini golf as part of a hoel package?!
