Annual pass holders really dont gain anything from these prices. Ok so the terms on both passes state you cant go to concert dates, but why should you pay the same price as a none pass holder? I think there should atleast be a slight saving.

Also it seemed strange when they first only released 2 day tickets and said that was it, because alot of people wouldnt want to go on two days, espeically if they were 2 days together as they were origianlly sold as (if you live far away it would cost you alot to stay over or travel back for 2 days). I think the only reason they gave you two days was because the price was so high at £80 and chucking in a 2nd day doesnt really cost Alton that much (you will spend money on the park during the 2 days anyway).

Im guessing sales havnt been that great which is why they have now released this one day park and concert ticket. Maybe nearer the time they will release concert only tickets or something?

Also its a bit of a joke that parking isnt included when you are paying £62 (for the one day) or £80 for the two days, in which you would have to pay £12 on top for parking!

So I can go see a decent world class band like Iron Maiden plus a few support acts at the 02 for I believe around £40 and visit Alton Towers another day for free with my pass

or see a very very bad band for £62 + booking fee...

WTF is Alton Towers playing at

You can now buy tickets for this with Tesco club card vouchers - £30 of vouchers for x 1 sandard ticket or £60 of vouchers for x 1 gold circle ticket.

Not a very good saving!

I'm starting to feel happy with these prices, Hopefully many people will leave the concert feeling very very ripped off, wait in a 3 hour queue for guest services, wait in a 4 hour queue to get out the park, then complain once more...

Then Alton Towers might actually think about getting some bands that are actually worth £80 a ticket...

This would save me a lot, I don't have a clubcard though, If I was to get a friend to redeem their points and get vouchers, would I then be able to use them?

Where does this leave Alton in regards to the tour,
No info was said about wether the tour will be cancelled or not.

This was just on MTV news.

Looking at that article it seems as if they will be taking a break after their current tour ends, it doesnt mention anything about them suddenly taking a break, it just says they will be taking a break.

I don't think they have sold many tickets for this concert, otherwise they wouldn't be flogging them cheap and getting rid of them through Tesco clubcard scheme. They were even advertising them ontv the other night.

1000 tickets! Blooming heck they must be desperate now.

They must either have a very large problem selling tickets or they have extended the capacity for the event.

How is this fair to people who have already booked tickets? Shouldn't hey be able to cancel and buy again at the reduced price?

You can now use you Annual Passes on this day to enter the park!

Theres clearly something wrong and this is going to cause a big issue for pass holders who were forced to buy a park ticket when they got the BEP ticket.
This is already flaring up on Altons Facebook page with disgruntled customers who firstly were told no AP entrance, then discount tickets then no concert only tickets , free second day park entree changed to paid for second day entree. It's an almighty mess.

Pass holders need to chase up refunds now before the concert otherwise afterwards Alton will just ignore them I supect.

You can enter the park before the Alton Towers LIVE concert, using your Annual Pass also...

As this is a Sunday, I may pop down... :D

If they had just sold one day park entry + concert + parking ticket at a decent price, im sure they wouldnt be reducing so many now, £40-£50 would have been fine. Im sure most people originally wouldnt have wanted to go for 2 days at the park.

Because originally you could only buy two day tickets (to be used either day before concert or day after concert). Then they said you could use the 2nd days ticket any day during the year. Then there was an AP discount, Then they released one day only tickets, and now they have cheap tickets for the concert and apparently AP holders can go to the park during the day.

Think its a tad checky that they are marketing the discount as a massive discount, but its only "Concert only". Obviously that doesnt bother me as I have a MAP, but the other price was for entrance and concert. So its not such a big saving after all.

I've never seen a concert at Alton Towers, so I take it the 'arena' is going to be fenced off so to prevent annual pass holders sticking around for the concert without a ticket?
