I'll watch that at home later! I created a topic about Nemesis' track replacements a while ago.

Doubt it. So close to park opening, not much more news will come out. Leave it a few days and we will be able to tell you if anything else new is there.

Meltdown becomes that.

Themed sign seems to have gone. Bit of a pity, although I look forward to trying it out.

Definitely be interesting to see if it can cope with the numbers that KFC used to handle - their lego and chessie styles are very very small and were never designed to take over a KFC outlet!

Hoping that this AINT the menu that Towers will be getting.
Silly prices for little portions from the looks of things.
Not impressed.

I ate at the Chessington Fried Chicken Company last year during the South meet, it was nice :)

And the prices are fine, when taking into account Annual Pass discount.

Yes not everyone has an annual pass though. So without it is quite steep for essentially a SMALLER meal than KFC.

Might be higher quality food though?

Let's face it. It looks crap.

I'm bored of Alton not bothering with stuff like this. Why on earth does it have to be called 'The Fried Chicken Company' with generic signage etc.?

It's ridiculous. Meltdown Chicken would be a better name by far! Infact an awful lot of names would be better!

It's a shame they didn't keep it as Meltown I agree, it was a rather cool name.

The lettering on the side of the outlet had rotted though I think so it had to be taken down.

The name does seem a little generic to me, not to mention it also does seem a little out of place, even with the Oblivion themed wall. I hope the food is good quality for what seems like rather steep prices if you don't have an Annual Pass, but nevertheless, it seems like we have yet another quality Alton ran food outlet.

Now, surely it's time for Burger King to be replaced by 'The Burger Co'? :)

The inside does look nice from what I have seen so far, certainly a vast improvement on the utter drabness that was previous. Sadly not quite as good as it was back in 1998 though with the highly themed counters.

'Fried Chicken Co.' is generic, but then KFC logos wern't exactly thematic were they?

I have heard about the wall inside, that's cool. It's a shame the sign and name is just generic Merlin.

I have heard the menu is far more developed than CWOA, though.

Unfortunately I wasnt paying attention to how much it was, as it was free for me, but im sure it was in the region of about £6 for a meal, which is the same as what kfc would have been.

I also tried it out today and have to say I was very impressed with the overall product, the Oblivion wall is great, even has a harness on the wall and loads of photos! The food was much better than I remember any KFC ever being, really tasty and quick. Prices didn't seem too bad and there was a lot to choose from, more than Chessington's...

I really really like the Fried Chicken Co. at Chessie, don't know where this rubbish about small portions is coming from!

Also, they have a VEGGIE option! :D

I really liked the Fried Chicken Co. at Chessie last year. I hope this lives up to its southern counterpart.

Although, I have heard mixed reviews from those who have tried it so far. Will be interested to give it a try at the weekend.

Additionally, I'm doubtful as to whether Air will be running at the weekend. It seemed to be having issues frequently towards the end of last season and it sounds like it's not had that much love over the closed season. :(
