Im 99% sure the Burger Kings at Towers dont accept anykind of vouchers as the are francise stores, as the voucher says "Voucher valid until 23.07.12 at participating restaurants only". They will most likely say they are not a participating store.

You could always take it with you and try, if not buy the meal or go elsewhere on park.

Quick plaster cast question

Wed May 30, 2012 5:08 pm

Hi all, my wife has broken a bone in her hand and as a result has a plaster cast where the top is soft but the bottom is hard to protect her little finger, is she going to be able to go on the rides with this or not?

Thanks in advance

I remember seeing someone with a broken arm going on Air with a full cast on so I would think that she'll be fine to go on the rides. :D

Although maybe not Rita because you have to brace yourself.

I didn't risk going to Alton when my arm was broken but it might be different with a hand.
I also saw someone asking on Twitter if they could go on rides with their leg in plaster. Alton just told them that they shouldn't go on Air because of the restraints. They didn't tell them to avoid the rides though.

I'd just reassure yourself by contacting them via social media or the phone.

My friend went with a arm cast and only didn't go on Rita and Nemmy (due to him not wanting to bash his arm).

It'll be fine.

Quick Questions 2012

You'll be fine on 'most' attractions, there are no restrictions in place for those with a cast or such, I wouldn't recommend forceful rides however such as Rita or Nemesis.

Is there a increase in price from Pizza Pasta from last years £8? I'm off back to the Towers soon and normally take only a small budget for food and entry.

I think it's £8.95 now for Pizza Pasta. So around the £9 mark.

Just incase anyone is interested i rang them and if you've got a plaster cast on you need to be able to get on and off the ride unaided and be able to walk 6 steps on a ladder then there are no restrictions

How much discount do they give you with the Family and Friends annual pass perk? Is it 50%?

There was a deal where friends and family got in for £15 but that was only for May.
For the rest of the year, these are the prices with the friends and family discount: Adults: £25.20 / Children: 20.16
However, you can't buy them on the day. You need to book at least 24 hours in advance and book on this number 08444 77 44 44.

Hope that helps!

need help re sun free tickets

Mon Jun 04, 2012 12:25 am

hi, I'm new to this forum and would be grateful for some advice:

I was looking for some tickets for the family for alton towers and came across a listing on eb*y for 6 tickets for £50. The listing stated the face value was £42 each.

I purchased the tickets and received them, only to find they were "free" sun tickets.

My question is, will I be able to use them, as they state they are non-transferable? Are the tickets cross checked upon entry with anyones name etc?

I feel a little misled as the face value is actually zero I suppose.

Thought I'd get some advice before I get back to the seller.

Thanks in advance for any help.

You'll have no problems using them to get into the park, I've swapped The Sun tickets in the past for better dates and it's never been a problem.

need help re sun free tickets

Hello and welcome to the Forums!

In answer to your question, the tickets are not supposed to be transferred between the applicant and the visitor. This is to stop financial gain on what is a free promotion.
However, unless the EBay listing had a photograph of the tickets, barcode included, these will be valid for use.

In future, ensure you contact the seller to check the tickets beforehand, or, better still, purchase directly from Alton Towers themselves.

Hi and thanks to you all for a quick reply.

Good to hear I won't have a problem. The listing didn't have a photo of the tickets so I guess I am safe.

Bought them from ebay as I thought I was getting a bargain compared to normal price of £240ish.

Again, thanks for the replies.

Probably a stupid question in light of recent events, but is the skyride open during ERT?
