Yeah if it's not open on Tuesday we are hoping to head down Easter Sunday, last year it was very quite for some odd reason....

It’s a shame the weather was the way it was, but I think Alton Towers deserves commendations for how well they dealt with the shift with Wicker Man.

Whilst interesting to see, I do find the TPW vlogs / videos to be somewhat irritating.
It would be great if Alton Towers put the level of effort into theming / actors / lighting for Scarefest that they did at the VIP press launch - we know it won't happen though.

Despite Wicker Man not being open I was very pleased with the fact that Alton had gone to the effort to have The Welcoming ‘beornen’ actors out, stilt-walkers and fire jugglers roaming the WM area and Mutiny Bay. The ride itself looks absolutely STUNNING in person , and only makes me want to ride it even more! I’ll share some photos when I get time later on; but overall (considering the ride availability) I had a pretty good day!

Yes, it is very impressive. Although very unlikely, I am really hoping the temperature lifts enough for it to open. The weather seems to have improved slightly online.

Solid 4 out of 5 star review from Ride Rater: http://riderater.co.uk/6835/review-wicker-man-at-alton-towers/

"Wicker Man is an attraction that has been built to a very high quality, is thrilling and is finally adding that long-awaited new dimension to the UK’s biggest theme park."

So it was Adam House who designed Wicker Man's layout.

Seeing on-ride POVs now in the dark it seems the on-ride photo is between the first & second sound tunnels, that dip.

Looks amazing but that tight turn after the second sound tunnel especially in the dark looks to be the highlight of the layout for me, it whips to the side fast.

It looks like anyone who purchased the wickerman photo box which apparently containing an exclusive 3D photo frame

I'm sorry to say that it's doesn't look that exclusive (pic taken from FB)

Image

Surely the photo box has now been miss sold? And also makes me wonder what else is available in the shop that also was sold as an exclusive item in the box

I haven't really looked into the box that deeply as I would never spend the money on one, however I know there was a similar question about the pin.
From photos I've seen the pin included in the box does look different to the ones on sale in the shop, so could this be the same for the photo frame? Maybe the design is different so the one in the box is still 'exclusive'

I was sad not to ride Wickerman yesterday but I think they've done a fantastic job on the shop, lots of nice little details and I really hope the DBGT shop and this one dictate the effort that goes in for future additions to the parks!
