Re: Guilty Pleasures...Secret Things to do at the Towers

My trick is (on the quiet days at least), on the way into the car parks, at the traffic lights go straight ahead rather than left and into the main car park. This means you go onto Air's car park and can park right next to Extraordinary Golf and the Monorail. The majority of cars all turn left and onto the bigger car park. When I went last week there were a total of 10 other cars on that car park along with mine, as opposed to hundreds on the main lot.

It surprises me how few people go in there, especially considering how the signs around that part of the road aren't actually that clear about where to go (in my opinion). It's a great spot to take though, and it means you aren't stuck in as much traffic when you're trying to leave the car park, as you get fed straight into the main exit route towards the barriers.

A friend of mine once went on Duel with a few mates and they managed to sneak the board game, Monopoly in and play it as they went round! He even has the picture on his facebook to prove it!  :D

I'd say mine is taking a scanner with me so I always know the queue , what rides are down, why they're down, when they are back up, and just to hear the general radio chat to keep me amused whilst in the queue lines...

It's also ridiculous hearing how many nupties leaves cars open/unlocked!!

any chance of posting or PMing me the frequency(s).

Not Alton Towers but with Chessington, I did the strangest thing when I was young.
I took a twig/stone from the Bat Ride que at Chessington. When no one was looking and I put it in my pocket to take home some of Chessington.

I'm not sure if I did (I think I did)but I also took a twig/stone from MY garden at home to swap with the twig/stone from Chessington so chessington had some of me LOL, hahaha.

This more applies to Thorpe but if I can't smell freshly frying donuts when I walk in then I need to walk near a donut kiosk. Also at 3 o'clock I have to have an ice cream donut.
Next Trip: Alton Towers 16/17 October!

Taking my mum on Th13teen for the first time. She hates rides that are too dark, go backwards and most of all she hates drop towers :D I think she quite enjoyed it though :P

as my name suggests, it was to ride the vintage cars, but now they have gone, it would probably be running arund the gardens naked checking out the new things and seeing whats changed year by year :)
BRING BACK THE VINTAGE CARS!!!              PLEASE
