i refused to be intimidated or let the travellers ruin my day yesterday... but i can see how it can distress some families with young kids... never seen so many travellers in one place in me entire life...

I do feel that scarefest hasn't been the same since they stopped using Duel with actors and the haunted Hallow. I remember in the late 90's there was a stage area built by the haunted house and they had entertainment on after it got dark.

Can anybody confirm if the extreme tickets have been available or completely sold out early on? Anyone know the price, is it per maze or for both? And is it worth it

I agree about Duel, this was my first scarefest for 2 years and Duel just wasnt the same. The actors in the hallow i can do without,  it think the zombie scare zone is a much better walk through. Maybe they could have some in the hallow for photo ops / kids but not use it as a scare area.

You won't be the only one but so long as other people in your group dress up too. Found that really odd yesterday as they're be like a group of 5 people and only one of them had actually bothered :P

For the last few years we have gone as dead undertakers. But this year on the 30th and 31st we are changing completely we have our costumes made and we Captain Hook and Peter Pan and our costumes are a complete match to Disney's can't wait . When we have done for the last few years on the 30th and 31st I would say 40% of guests dress up. And much better than the entertainment staff.

I am going on Thursday in costume so glad to hear other people are too! Though going to Alton in a Smiler staff costume should be interesting, especially on The Sanctuary, and obviously The Smiler! Still intrigued by the Carnival of Screams ending, can anyone give a spoiler free description of it?

Has the 2 dead guys made it back on the rapids this year? What the lighting and smoke like in the tunnel section of the runaway mine train?

If you're not too particularly bothered about doing all the rides, then yes.

is it sad that hearing the noises of the generators in the videos is getting me excited about scarefest?  not in the fact that I like them but because the noise reminds me of it a lot haha!

Best day at Alton Towers ever. Went on 24 rides, queue times for Air, Rita, Thirteen and Nemesis on 6 occasions a mere 5 minutes and went on Smiler twice, one after the other after just minutes of queuing. Mine Train at the end of the evening was letting people go round more than just the normal two circuits, and a staff member said they had little over 6,000 in today, and you could really tell, it was so quiet.

Definitely going next year before the half term break.

Great day yesterday night rides on all 6 main coasters, 2 runs of Cos, 2 runs of Tott, 3 runs of sanc, 1 zsz at night, Smiler at night was amazing, as was 13. Was given a unlimited 1 day fast pass to Smiler with a sticker saying we appreciate your correction for my MOJ themed costume. Oh and to finish day off.. at 9.15 pm I entered The Extreme Sanctuary with a group as small as 6. Full reviews coming later but I will say Scarefest 13 has defo made me want to go back.
