Wed Nov 14, 2012 10:11 pm

What is your best food/drink you like to have at the towers?
Which has the best taste and the worst taste?

Personally, The coke has a very strong kick to it. The coke is probably the best
i have ever had because it taste's Very nice...

Food... I haven't tasted the food at the towers to be honest... Give me your opinions and i will try
them myself when i go back in 2013.....

Fizzy drinks can vary depending on which dispenser you get them out of.

Pizza Pasta is not bad, we always eat there
Chicken Co next to Oblivion, don't bother, dry tasteless and cheap

Other outlets, I've still to try.

The chips in the Forbidden Valley are nice, as is the fish, IMHO. Decent value for money too, which is unusual to find at the park these days!!
April 3rd: Alton | May 7th: Alton | May 23rd: Camelot | June 30th: Thorpe Park | July: Flamingo Land | September: Blackpool Pleasure Beach | October 21st: Alton Scarefest

Maybe Drayton Manor and Camelot during August...

Its all about the courtyard BBQ.
Blows Burger king out of the water, and they have one of the nicest fast food style burgers I've ever had! They're massive!

My favourite is Explorers Pizza/Pasta as it's always nice to have the unlimited buffet and drinks.  Also I agree about the fish and chips place - very tasty and good value I thought.

I would have to say Burger King! It's a shame Burger King is leaving the park but I'm sure The Burger Kitchen will be good! But I also remember going to McDonald's before Burger King came and I remember the kids theming in Cred Street (Now Cloud Cuckoo Land) :)

I would Say Explorers Pizza/Pasta Because Believe It Or Not, I Think That The Pizzas Taste Like The Pizza Hut Pizzas. Also It Is At A Great Price Range Too, The Best Drink Probably Would Be Coke :)

Top 3 for Food - Woodcutters Jack Daniels Ribs
                        Courtyard BBQ Rack of Ribs
                        Burger King's Chicken Royale w/cheese

Drink is difficult because I don't like fizzy drinks and the park really do not offer enough alternatives. I'll normally use AP discount in the morning to buy 4 Capri-Suns then move on to hot chocolate late afternoon :)

Drink I had a nice pint in the pub a couple of years ago.
Food I did enjoy the Caravery they used to sell at the towers street restaurant.

They could do with selling Real Ale at the park.

I always used to go for the pizza/pasta buffet all the time until in the 2012 season my new partner recommended I go in woodcutters and I wasn't disappointed....... The lumberjack burger is very good.

There was five of us and for five main meals plus four beers and a soft drink for me (don't like beer or alcohol) it came to ££62 after annual pass discount we paid £48 which is good value considering it was less than £10 each.  :D

I also tried the all day dining in 2012 just so I could try all the other outlets ....... Didn't want to risk trying something and then not liking it and then spending more money. Pancakes and waffles  :D

If your having a stay in the hotel I would recommend the evening buffet in Splash Landing....... With a choice of English, Chinese, Mexican, Indian it's a wide variety of choice and also the non alcoholic cocktails are well nice....... Sonic screwball/screwdriver I think ...... Best drink I had  :D

I remember the car horn noise that used to go off every 30 seconds or so by the large McDonald's used to drive me insane when eating outside

No. High Street chains such as McDonalds and Burger King have no place in a theme park resort. Alton Towers should be about escapism, and one of the best things that Merlin have done since their takeover from Tussauds is to remove these franchise and replace them with in-house outlets.
