Local Accommodation

Sun Jan 13, 2013 3:55 pm

What is the best local accommodation to Alton Towers?

I have stayed at the Alverton Motel a couple of times and it was fantastic, getting a whole house - although I understand they underwent some changes last year?

I hear the Chained Oak is very good.

What are the best/other options?

I would love to hear all pros and cons, and any in depth experiences.

Without a doubt, Heywood Hall in Denstone.
Fantastic rooms, and amazing owners. We stay there every year!

That does look really nice. Only problem is there are five of us. Are there other apartment style accomodation near by?

I would defiantly recommend the chained oak. It's a beautiful place to stay, the owners are really nice and being able to walk down to the chained oak itself from your room is awesome.

Yeah, we definitely want to visit, spend some time and do some filming/photos at the Chained Oak. Always heard good things about it. I'll check prices.

Cheers for your help folks.

I dont drive, is the chained oak around a 20 min walk to towers front gates? With it being so close, do you have to book there well in advance?
