Its the same at Chessington for the Zoo days, you don't get discount, but the ticket prices are cheap enough.

They haven't even opened up the turnstiles until after 10am in previous years, let alone offered ERT. It'd be nice for them to at least let us into the park this time around, even if the rides don't open until the advertised time. As it stands Air and Nemesis don't have to open until 10:20 or so, because of the amount of time it takes for visitors to get to that side of the park. Considering the early ride close, too, this is really quite shocking.

There was no merchandise for 'The Smiler' on sale.

Interestingly Old Macdonald's Singing Barn and Gallopers Carousel are open despite not being included in the official attraction line-up.

The only thing you can get is a pack of pens 1of which is a smiler pen. The merch at the end of last year was more for the sanctuary, smiler merch will not reappear until later in the season.

I asked yesterday and again today.

Sat in the woodcutters enjoying a pint and some nuts if anyone is on park and cares to join me

Saturday was insanely busy. They clearly hadn't been anticipating such crowds considering that Air was running at reduced capacity and Duel didn't even have its usual queue line open. Squirrel Nutty peaked at around 65 minute wait time; 40 for Spinball, Air or Runaway Mine Train; 20 for Nemesis. But the biggest wait times appeared to be for the Moshi Monster meet & greets, with queues sprawling across Cloud Cuckoo Land and Mutiny Bay.

A clear message, I think, that additional attractions (Th13teen was reportedly ready, and could easily have been opened) are necessary at future events. Nonetheless, a success! Alton Towers may finally realise that longer seasons / proper winter events are a plausible possibility considering just how busy it was.

Went today and yesterday.

Yesterday was far busier than I expected with queues at the gates stretching to the monorail station by 09.30 am. The park seemed crowded either that or there is so little open that the crowds aren't getting dispersed. Queus were big for Air but it did open late, I was on the first train of the day at 10.50 am. Air was up to 45mins at times as was Mine train

Still got 12 rides on Nemmy, 2 Air, 1 Duel, . Ate at pizza buffet at 11.30 by 11.45 they were queuing out of the door to get in.

Today, I got on park later but it did seem less crowded, Spin ball and Mine train were busy most of the day, duel was more or less a walk on and I had my own personal single rider line for Nemesis, no one else seemed to be using it, so I took full advantage and hit her for 22 goes  :D ate at Woodcutters which was quiet, staff waiting around for people to serve whilst I was there.

To sum up both days were busy with Sunday being the quieter of the 2. Both days were enjoyable though and I never queued long for anything. Most seem more interested in moshi monsters, mine train and Sonic guess that is the half term kids for ya.

Hit the park you will have a great time.

You will be fine. Probably quieter than the weekend.

Hit Sonic, Air and Mine Train early if you can.

Duel and Nemmy will be more or less walk on all day.

Eat lunch 11.30 or after 2.

Its probably worth noting, the entire Wales and South West region have already had their half term this week. I'd suspect a few other areas are included as well. This could potentially drastically decrease the amount of visitors over the course of the next week.

I'm afraid that's incorrect. There were mugs and other items displaying the logo. They may not have had The Smiler name, but obviously that is what they represent.

Extremely unlikely unless around 15,000 people turn up or something.
