Why was the queue dispatching into the queue?

I really hope I can go this year. The Smiler looks awesome and I have no words to explain it. I can't wait to get corrected on that.
It doesn't seem like the special entry (Single, disable, fastrack) was open on the pictures. Did it open later on the day?

we were the first lot on, we had to follow the dude , we queued up outside the smiler entrance from 9-12 , then they opened the smiler, we followed the dude round the queue line, was a nice steady walk, was great taking it all in, walking under the ride

So to simply put it, No the special queue wasn't open. But I believe it must  be a great sight to walk under the coaster, going to love that moment.

It was closed off till about 12, at first we queued outside x sector till 10am, they then let us move down to the smiler entrance, then they opened it up we walked through and on

For all you people who moaned about every single thing about this ride that you thought was 'wrong', here's a half painted footer for you to frown over!

After riding this twice, it is easily my favourite roller coaster. Thanks for all the great updates recently!

FIN.

Can I just remind everyone that they DON'T always duel. Their priority is to be as efficient as possible. I was lucky enough for my train to duel but watching it throughout the day sometimes it was well off

I assume it is just if you're lucky because when it's busy they're not going to wait for trains to catch up etc, they'll just let them go!

Had to ask this, but from videos, and pictures, it didnt look like The Flasher was working? Surely not already?

Are there spiraling lights in the tunnel like the TV advert?
Can't wait to ride her ;)

Well from reports the area is just been darkened and has mist....

But we have to remember while the ride may not have some of the Elements we had hopped, we still got a awesome coaster with additional surprises and effects before and after the ride.

We have to also remember the ride was on a tight schedule and yes maybe there could have been budget issues so that within the time and budget constraints they may not have been able to add as many effects as they would have wanted.

The Good news is, this could be a work in progress and by that their is nothing stopping them at the end of the season making some modifications to indeed add effects to the Indoor Heartline Roll section so its like the advert or add little things here and there on the Que line etc.

It was indeed working. In the photos posted by AT themselves today there are a few taken from the same angle a matter of seconds after each other where you can see The Flasher in action:

You can see they caught the flash in the 2nd photo.

And to think I was told that I was wrong for thinking that the Flasher would be almost invisible in daylight.

It looks like they are using powerful LED's rather than proper strobe lights - even the latter would still be quite dull in daylight, but would be more powerful than the LEDS. Something to improve on, more like the "flickerly light" than a flasher

Wow. Love the indoor section - much better than it was described. And some of those pseudo-duelling moments look brilliant!

Lucky me - I was there the 2 days before it opened (29th/30th) -.-

Still, we were promised 3 free fastracks per person this Summer :D

Guess I'll have to wait till then :(

So annoying...

I'm in the exact same boat! Me and my girlfriend were there Wednesday and Thursday. Knew it was going to open today as soon as I saw the fencing down yesterday :(

After seeing all of the coverage from today, I'm currently working out with friends the best time to book a return visit for us all :P

I'd get there before the kids are off school cos I reckon we will be seeing 2/3 hour queues until next year.
