Tue Jul 30, 2013 9:57 am

On a trip there last week noticed a few things not working.
A little magic missing?
Spitting frogs in towers street not working, just dribbling.
Fountain in pagoda in valley not working, wasn't working for my last 3 trips .
Water feature in towers family restaurant empty, water wheel.
Woodland walk entrance closed within stated opening times.

The Broken Theming Database

There are so many things broken at towers we'd probably overload the TTF database if we tried to list them all. Although I can provide further insight on a couple of these:

This is powered naturally by water flowing down from high ground. Obviously with the hot weather lately water levels in lakes and streams will be much lower, so I'd expect all natural water features in the gardens to be not working/dry.

I don't visit this restaurant often but when I do I don't actually recall the water wheel working since the late 90's. I could be wrong but it's been a very, very long time since I've seen it working.

That's pretty inexcusable. The woodland walk is supposed to be an easy entrance for hotel guests.

Theming in the smiler queue on the wall next to single riders has been peeled off by guests and looks pretty shoddy- That really needs to be fixed!

Re: Broken theming,little magic missing

On the last few visits to AT i've noticed that the frog fountains haven't been on, in fact I can't remember a single trip this year where they've been on. I don't know why but Towers Street just doesnt feel the same without them going.

Just made a little tweak to this topic in order for us to all collaborate and collect as many details as possible on broken/missing theming. Images are certainly welcome from any trips you have had recently to the resort! So let's see just how much of the missing magic we can find....

Might not be right, but last time I went, I don't think the bell on the rmt was working. Not sure, but I don't think it was

The bell on RMT is actually a very tough bit of theming to get working all the time, it depends a lot on the weather and whether it has been raining because the rope can expand and contract a lot.

Actually I was glad to see nemesiss waterfalls/water red when I last went in June. On other occasions they were off.
I know duel is known for things not working for e.g the tunnel as stated + sometimes the zombies that jump from the side Down always spring Into life. (Always shoot them tho even if they aint working cos I get right into it :-D)

I'd always wondered why the tunnel was so hit and miss. Recently I heard that the tunnel has sensors all around it and if anything is dropped over the track it automatically stops spinning. No doubt you get the daily dickheads chucking empty pop bottles and all sorts into it.

So my guess is that it does actually work most days but has to be "cleared" of debris every so often.

Well lets be honest we cant blame all the broken/damaged/faded theming on AT. Some loveley people dont seem to respect the theming at AT, went once as a kid and remember seeing 4 chavs running along the lilly pads with the frogs on, cant see that helping them to work :S sadly none fell in and no AT staff...or other people did anything :( yes AT may need to spruce everything up again but it cant all be blamed on them.
hands in the air and scream!
