Aye that's a good point, best not to dignify their idiocy with page views. Have the press stopped hounding people on the park at all?

I think they're stopping doing so, but they will always be in the park looking for the slightest 'technical difficulty'

Well it confirms what we already had as "almost facts" im sorry to say it dosent read well as far as AT getting dragged through the courts and just maybe the end of the Smiler unless AT can prove that it is not possible at all to ever have the same thing happen again...

What is the point about changing the smiler's theme?
The theme of the ride is not the thing that caused the accident.
If you say that is for the respect of the victims then that is very stupid due to the fact that the only surgical themed part is in the ride station section.
What is the point of changing the whole theme if only one section could be removed.

The Smiler theme has a very sinister edge to it and whether intentionally or not, that will cause offence after the recent incident. It's not about stupidity, it's about respecting that a very serious accident happened at the resort which severely injured paying guests - removing the signage represents the resorts commitment to the victims and to rectifying the issue.

They've taken a lot of time and expense to remove the signage across the whole resort and that won't be a decision they've taken lightly. The aerial photos by Sky show that they'd already begun the removal mere days after the incident happened.

I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see The Smiler theme return at all. Which is a shame as for all the rides faults, the IP they had marketed was very well received worldwide. The issue is that the same worldwide audience are now watching the resort and judging their next move, something they'll have to consider carefully and meticulously to ensure they keep face.

Don't believe that. Absolute bull rubbish. What the hell.

Come on! Can they not see that with over 1000 complaints and a petition of more than 55,000 that this is not okay?

the interviewee was able to respond fully to the questions

Erm....
If I might just interrupt you there

This could affect Scarefest as well if the smiler is not open/been Rethemed by then as the sanctuary fits in with the smiler, and the sanctuary is the main major maze for most people. The smiler theme is indeed very sinister feeling and some of the sound effects sound quite disrepectful to some after this, even though they are not intentionally. On an another note, what music is playing in x sector? Nothing or Oblivions soundtrack?

Many Questions!!

Have they removed all merch? Can you still see signage for 'Buy The Smiler'? Is that Smiler game still there? Are the screens still on? Is the 'Marmaliser' on/working? Have they removed the Smiler logo from Oblivion, and have they changed it back to Fanta?

I am very curious to find out the answers!!

I don't know, I don't really follow Merlin's sponsorships/ip's (except occasionally e.g BBC, Star Wars...)
