don't know where to start with this as the day had so many highlights for me!

well, everyone was very welcoming at the start of the day, I ended up talking to a lot more people than I did at [email protected]! :D

after Swarm I ended up splitting from the main group and went round with a mini group :D (can't remember who they were on the forum, thats going to annoy me now!) and did a few rides before rejoining the main group at colossus!

All I remember from that point to the SAW ERT and BTS, was having an amazing time and Stealth shop running out of bags!

SAW ERT was great, got 9 rides in, and I believe got the first and last trains to be sent! BTS was also interesting to see, really enjoyed seeing all the ride op panels and the maintenance shed (love to know what happens when I'm on rides and all that geeky stuff :P) never asked any questions though, would've just asked stupid stuff.

Then, going along the old train tracks, got some good photos of SAW, really gutted that I had to leave half way through this, family were sending me angry texts because they wanted to get back.

Thanks to all who were there, it was possibly the best day I've had at a theme park in my life! see you all at the next one I can get to! :D

Just popping by to say thanks very much to everyone from the TT/SP Team and to Merlin / Thorpe Park staff for the amazing day.

The behind the scenes tour was incredible and it's just something you will never get to do unless you attend an event like this. It was great to see the workings of SAW, the workshop area, the cars etc up close and travelling along the train track was awesome!

I was knackered at the end of the long day... I would have come to Chessington but unfortunately I had other plans today.

Proper good fun! Great day thanks again everyone :).

I'm not sure where to start after such a fantastic weekend but first of all, I'd just like to thank everyone who attended the meet and in addition, to Thorpe Park/Merlin staff for making the day so informative and a really great day. The behind the scenes tour of Saw, behind the ride where the railway went was fascinating and a wonderful opportunity to see areas of the park normally not accessible such as the Saw workshop.

There were so many highlights it's hard to pick out all of them but having rides on Saw with the lights on so you could take in the details of the enclosed section was brilliant moment, also meeting new people and familiar faces was great - always good to put a face to a username :D

I also had a day at Chessington today which was also a wonderful day and I'm glad the weather didn't disappoint for us too.

Finally, I just want to say a massive thanks to everyone again and to Baffles and Dan for the great organising of this event - also the whole Team and members for being fab :)

Firstly, I would just like to say a Massive Thank you to everyone on the Team for organizing this amazing event. You guys work so hard to make the day amazing and so I really wanted to thank all of you. Secondly, a big thank you to the staff at Thorpe Park for also making the day amazing. So THANKS!!!!!!

The event for me started on the Friday evening. The social at the Weatherspoons was so much fun. Catching up with old faces, and meeting new people and just chilling out before the Saturday was so much fun. The food was also really yummy, which is always a plus :lol

The Saturday arrived, and I was so excited. My first theme park trip of the year, and the first SouthParks event. The team were really organised, and kept us informed about everything. Plus I got a SouthParks badge so I was very happy. We took the group photo (I'm pretty sure in the group picture it has loads of people squinting. Damn sun being in the wrong place) and headed for The Swarm. Front row with Dan was just amazing and I managed to do BIB too. We then headed to Stealth.
This was followed by Nemesis Inferno, Mr Monkey's Banana Boat, X, Rush, and many more. I have lost track on how many rides we got. TT took over the Rocky Express and Loggers Leap and despite an awkward on ride photo the morning was so much fun.

Lunch was Yummy and very socialable. Then we headed round more rides, and it was just a fantastic afternoon, with so many laughs. Then came the moment , I think, Everyone was looking forward to. The ERT on Saw- The rise and the behind the scenes tour. I managed 2 rides on Saw, before I became a victim of its head banging. Seeing the control room, and the maintenance shed was just amazing. A once in a lifetime experience. The highlight of the BTS tour for me, was finding out that Lionsgate had actually given them actual props from the Saw film, oh and seeing the barbed wire man from the top.

Then came the secret, special, and just totally amazing extra. We followed the old Canada Creek Railway into Saw and got to see the track from a different angle. Someone asked what the weirdest thing found here was and it was a Glass eye or prosthetic ear. Also there is a tunnel which we walked through and it came out of the first drop on Loggers Leap. We carried on following the track and got to see into the Train shed. The trains are still in there, and it looks really sad and I really hope they get to be used again, if not at TP but somewhere else, because they are beautiful trains. Then we walked up the Blair witch Project walk-through and round and into Angry Birds Land. Being able to see this was absolutely amazing. We got to see the cinema and the whole area.

We got back to the group and the day in the park came to an end. After such an amazing day we headed back to the hotel to get cleaned up after a hot day and headed to Weatherspoons. We didn't stay there long and the group staying at the
Mercure headed back and ended up staying in the bar just talking and joking till 2AM. The second day came and 6 of us headed back to TP. We spent most of the day together and just chilled out. Martin and John managed to get some Angry Birds Land Badges too, which made my day.

Overall, this event was just amazing, and the first SP event has put the bar high and I reckon things will only get better as time goes on. I could not recommend enough that people should attend a TT/SP event. It will be the best day you have ever had at a park.

First of all I'd like to thank everyone, Team and members for making this another great meet for me!

First day was a bit relaxed, met up with some of the regulars to hang out for a bit and headed to the Wetherspoons to socialise. Good to meet some new faces as well as catch up with familiar ones. And of course as expected came the joking from Alex and Lee. But it's all good fun.

Saturday was amazing for my first ever trip to Thorpe. Very impressed with the rides, the size of the park amazed me, and just being with everyone again made it all the more fun. The ERT on Saw and the behind the scenes tour was lucrative, interesting to see in the control room and the engineering area. but it was made better by going back behind Saw and Loggers leap to walk along the railway and see the old trains. seeing inside Angry Birds Land was interesting, not much too see but what there was I found good. Headed back to the Wetherspoons but didn't stay long, had to wish Molly happy birthday and chat for a bit to catch up. But Saturday was good.

Sunday was quieter for group size but busier for numbers in the park. Stayed with Dan N, Tom, Dom, Martin and John, the 6 of us dubbed the TT 'six pack' and just walked around for a calmer day on park. Tidal wave was fun, but overall it was quieter.

Once again, very fun meet, brilliant to catch up with everyone, looking forward to Sizzler for those who know what I'm referring to ;) Thanks again to everyone!

Despite being on park for around 12 hours, it was undoubtedly an awesome day. It was great to see the staff embracing the event and engaging with attendees and the queue-times board message was also a nice gesture.

I was very impressed with the exclusives and it was nice to see that staff were very forthcoming when talking about the workings of the park. They're something I probably wouldn't ever get to experience without being part of this community, so it's certainly a pleasure to be involved with it all.

The many hours on park during its public opening time were also very enjoyable, with everyone seeming to have a good time. I'm quite amazed at how little time we spent in queues on what was quite a busy day! I will try my best to get to another event this year, but can't make any promises.

I had an awesome day, basically.

Echoing what Lewis said, it was great to see the staff really going the extra mile to ensure we had a great experience with the ERT and BTS of Saw. The staff really impressed me all day, they were loading super quick which meant that we hardly had to queue at all through the day.

I know from speaking to people at the end of the day that they seemed to of really enjoyed the day, so I hope that everyone else who I didn't speak to did too!

I'm terrible at writing these sort of things so I'll leave it there.

Roll on the next one :)

This weekend has been amazing – I don’t even know where to begin!

I don't think I could have asked for a better way to experience Thorpe Park for the first time. It was fantastic to see how everyone came together for this event which is testament to the great community we have. From start to finish there was a fantastic atmosphere which only added to the excitement of my first SouthParks trip.

The day couldn’t have started any better - I can't believe I managed to do The Swarm both forwards and backwards once and Stealth twice before 10am. Considering how busy it was on park, it was amazing how little time we spent in queues overall. The park was both different but also better than I expected. From the fact I think I managed to get on most of the rides, to the many highlights of the day and the friendliness of the staff who were very friendly and embraced the event it all added up to make the day as special as it was. There are too many moments for me to list all of my highlights here, although I’m still trying to work out just how I was the only one in my raft to get wet on the rapids!

The ERT and BTS on Saw really capped off the day in the best possible way. Three rides in a row with both lights on and lights off – what a way to ride it for the first time. It was amazing how enthusiastic and engaging the staff were, despite some of them having to stop for 3 hours after park close. It seemed like nothing was too much trouble for anyone. All of the staff on our tours shared a wealth of information and were more than happy to answer any questions we had, I definitely learned some very interesting things. Getting to walk along the old railway track was and seeing all the behind the scenes and previews of Angry Birds was a unique and fascinating experience, one which I will never forget.

It was great to experience Chessington for the first time on Sunday, quite how I managed to get soaked on Bubble works I'll never know :lol It was fab to see so many join us for the second day too. It was little things like eating lunch with a view of giraffes, zebras and ostriches that made it all the better. But most importantly it was the company that really made the whole weekend.

I’m still trying to take everything in, although I think I now have a case of SouthParks withdrawal and can’t wait for my next opportunity to get back down to Thorpe Park and Chessington world of Adventures.

A big thanks to Dan and Baffles for organising the event - and to everyone who helped make it the huge success it undoubtedly was. I can’t wait for the next time!

Every event I attend I think they can't get any better than the previous one... And every time so far I have been proved wrong!

Despite work commitments meaning that I unfortunately couldn't join everyone for the full day, some speedy driving ensured that I arrived just in time for the ERT and BTS, and I'm so glad I did!

The Thorpe staff were absolutely brilliant, so friendly and informative- nothing seemed too much trouble. The added bonus of the walk along the old railway track and along the flume was quite possibly my favourite part, it's so interesting seeing parts of the park usually off limits to guests!

It was fab getting to catch up with the old faces and meet loads of new members, everyone is always so friendly, I may be biased but I think we really do have the best community around! Anyone thinking of joining in on a meet or event next time... Don't think - just do it, you will definitely have one of the best theme park days of your life :-)

Thanks to Dan, Chris and the guys for organising everything and the Thorpe staff for being so brilliant with us on the day :-)

WHAT A WEEKEND!

First of all a big thank you to the team for organising the event with some very cool exclusives! This has to be one of my best trips to the park! Saw with the lights on was amazing, as was the Canada Creek rail walk alongside Loggers Leap! My guess was right, and I felt very privileged to be allowed in Angry Birds Land too! :D

What I would like to say is how I was accepted by all. Being my first event, sometimes you don't know what you are letting yourself in for, however within 30 seconds I got talking to many! It was great to mix with many at the park and after at the social! I have made MANY friends and you have all in some way made it special! This continued at Chessington which was a laugh a minute!

Bubbleworks soaktatular was spectacular, and it was so nice to sit down at the hotel and just chill. I felt in good company and a million miles away from the real world!

Hopefully I will see you all at the Summer Sizzler and pick up from where we left off!!!

Justin :D

I can only echo what has been said already. It was an absolutely fantastic weekend, whilst it was good to see lots of people I have met before it was also good to chat to new people as well.

The behind the scenes tour went way beyond what I was expecting and massive thanks go to the Thorpe Park staff for putting in the extra hours to show us around.

As always thanks to all the TT team who put in their time to ensure we get amazing exclusives and also have a great time. Roll on the Summer Sizzler!

I've been meaning to post in here for a while, so here we go.

As always, this event was fantastic. It's always nice to experience the parks with like minded enthusiasts, and meeting up with old friends. I was quite excited for this event and as I have a real soft spot for this one as it was my first meet the previous year.

I traveled down from The Great North the night before and met up with people in the Wetherspoons. It was nice to see old faces once more, and receive my standing ovation for finally managing to arrive within a time frame I'd set. The event itself started off brilliantly and carried on that same tone throughout the day. For me personally, I enjoyed the walk through the old train line which gave an alternative view of Saw. Naturally, the behind the scenes tours and the Angry Birds preview were brilliant. I would like to apologies not really in the slightest for abusing the water guns while people were on the Log Flume. It would appear I have a calling to be a face shot specialist ....

The social itself was a brilliant laugh, with everyone mingling and chatting. The Mercure residents 'after-party' in which we sat and chatted until 2am is probably something I'll remember for a long time coming. Sunday, although a little more faffworthy, was a brilliantly chilled out day and I'm still not entirely sure how it is possible to get that wet on bubbleworks. Shamelessly cackling at the 'un-phonetic alphabet' in a queue line was a brilliant summary of the whole day.

For me, these events and meets have become more than just a theme park trip. They've become a real beacon of fun, excitement, exclusives, friends and everything else. It's fantastic to watch them continue to grow and more of our community join in. Thanks to the events team, but more importantly I'd like to say thanks to everyone who came for making this another memorable weekend away.

If you haven't joined our events then I do urge you to come along. You really are missing out.

Well what can be said that hasn't been already? As it turns out not much.

I arrived Friday evening after a 3 hour drive in what can only be described as a sweat box, quickly freshened myself up and had a few quiet drinks in the Wetherspoons, it was good to catch up with new and old faces alike, and headed to bed full of excitement at the thought of losing my Thorpe Park virginity.

On the morning of the event we had a steady stroll to McDonalds for a traditional pre theme park breakfast, and once that was polished off we headed to the park.

The whole day was fantastic, with particular highlights being Stealth front-row, Swarm in general and the whole behind the scenes tour, especially walking the old Canada Creek railway. Exclusivity on SAW was good, although I only managed 4 rides on it before Gerst-ache set in..

The social wasn't anywhere near as hectic as [email protected], although a good night was had by all.

On the Sunday 6 of us went back to Thorpe and had a chilled out day, the only down side being the queue time boards being regularly inaccurate (Tidal Wave actual queue 50 mins when advertised 15) but on the whole it was a very good day, despite the mosquitos taking a liking to me.

I couldn't have wished for a better way to spend my first visit at Thorpe, if anyone is hesitant about coming along to a TT meet/event, then do not hesitate, I guarantee you will have a fantastic time.

Thanks to all the team for staging yet another fantastic event, the work you guys do to provide these opportunities for us is greatly appreciated! I for one cannot wait for Sizzler!

This was my very first meet up with TT, and I loved it, everyone was friendly, and really happy.

The event was organised really well, and everything was great, Exclusive ride time was excellent, riding with the lights on was awesome and a unique experience. I was not expecting the walk though the old railway, and we got to see some parts of the park, guests would not always see like the old trains for the railway in the garage. the behind the scenes tour was just great and the Thorpe staff were really well organised, best bits was laying under one of saws trains, spinning its wheels :lol , seeing the switch room, where all the PLC's and audio and video playbacks were and also seeing the operators cabin, The Angry birds tour was also great exclusive.

Can't wait till the next meetup :)
