Just shows you how fast rollercoasters can be constructed these days and with more probably being built lower down the site, I expect to see a good decent amount of progress since the last aerial update :)

There is going to be some amount of steel placed above that toilet block when both the track and all the supports have been placed! Must be a very valuable toilet block haha

Good work TT Team, keep up the fantastic efforts! Your doing us all proud!  :D

I assume after track construction, and judging by the sudden speed of this, I wouldn't think it would be too long in the future.

I hope we'll be starting to see some more construction elsewhere on site. I'm going to be quite disappointed if all we see is the start of the inverted drop

Can’t wait for the update thank you TT, maybe The Smiler will incorporate elements of all Alton’s main coasters as a send of for John Wardley, vertical drop of Oblivion, ground hugging theming of Nemesis, launch of RITA, some inversions like Air and erm a trick track or 13 inversions to tie in with thirteen lol, doubt it will but would be cool, whatever this ride is going to be insane and can't wait till I go in June.

Just been studying the game video - posting in the construction topic because the post relates to number of inversions vs. original plans etc.

There have been various inversion numbers flying around, but I'm pretty convinced that we've got confirmation of at least 13 inversions now. My justification for this is as follows:

- 8 original inversions in the planning documents.
- 2 inverted drops (one confirmed by the long range photo taken today as well as previous shots of the inverted support, and one confirmed by the pic Alton released on Twitter showing the inverted support on the other side (which Joe Public couldn't see from their photos')
- 1 indoor heartline - confirmed by TT aerial shots of station, plus the 'button' in the smiler game.
- 2 further inversions before the final turn and brake run. This is confirmed by the game video. Look closely at the section from 00:39-00:40 seconds. As soon as the train has come around the final turn you can clearly see at 39secs the final clockwise inversion interlocking with the first part of the sea serpent roll, and at 40secs you can see the penultimate clockwise inversion between that and the end of the cobra roll.
