Re: The Smiler Themed Rooms Discussion

Crikey, I just looked to book one of these for a weekday (Autumn off peak) and they want £337.50!

And there I was thinking £225 for the Moon Voyage room was bad.

Is anyone planning to stay in one of these rooms? Considering I don't have a smartphone it seems a bit pointless for me!

What bothers me is that it's a 4 person room. Surely that will be quite squashed for 4 adults?  (it says it has bunk beds so I assume they intend to allow 4 adults to squash themselves into single beds!) I'd be happier to split the cost of a larger occupancy room.

Still, I hope someone does go and takes some video for us plebs who can't afford it :P

I think you need to update the Smiler minisite to say a minimum 14 inversions by the way :D

That is correct isn't it?

Currently on the TT Smiler mini-site it still says minimum 8 inversions... considering as we already have 11 constructed it seems a little outdated that's all haha

I don't think Oblivion's drop will be overshadowed by The Smiler as Oblivion's is vertical, whereas the ones on The Smiler are not, the drops are less striking which is everything Oblivion is about.

Well, we were planning to go in here as a family, but for 1400 odd for just the 4 of us, I don't think its gonna be happening..

Even with the 20 percent AP discount, its still well over 1000 pounds, we could go in a Moon Voyage room for 500 odd, and I doubt The Smiler room is any bigger..

Thumbs down Alton, thumbs down.

If Alton Towers manage to absolutely nail the theming of this ride then I think it might well be the best coaster in the world! I'M SO EXCITED

Idk if it'll be better than Iron Rattler tbh.... But they're two different animals.

Just read on Towers2go that they've removed the marmalising chair from the features.... I think they may have let something slip XD either that or the seats aren't working yet

I see the delay as a good thing!! It really shows there aking so much time and effort to build it! And that fact that it was delayed just proves that is going to be huge and immense!!!!  :D
I'm ready to Smile!

There would be no chance that an employee would have access to that information. Only some of the big bosses at Merlin, AT and Gerstlauer, as well as JW and the rest of marketing team would know.
