To my understanding the tent was originally going to be themed on the outside, but now, since its in the zoo the park have decided they really don't need to theme it. Sharkbait Reef was themed to match with Mutiny Bay but SeaLife is just a SeaLife centre in the zoo of a major theme park.

If the Sealife Centre was made permanent, all i would like to see is a more "permanent" look, maybe a cheap outer shell, or concrete entrance structure, nothing too expensive or big, just enough to make it not look like a cheap marquee to visitors who won't go inside.
It\'s Big Bob, it\'s Big Bob, it\'s Big Bobs radio show.

I was recently looking at Trip Reports from parks across the globe and came across a park called "Skara Sommerland" this year they installed a brand new type of coaster from S&S and the second I saw it I thought, one of these would just be perfect at Chessington. Especially as they have a height restriction of just 1.1m and they don't need a huge height. In my opinion it would join Vampire and Dragons Fury as one of those, small enough for families to go on, but fun enough to entertain everyone.

Your thoughts? :)

It does look like quite a nice coaster and yes ideal for chessington, i can imagine it working well in Mexican or even as a dark coaster.

In those pictures it looks like they have no restraints the way some people are sitting!
Wishing i was back in the Caribbean

Chessie need a Wild Asia land with a disco roller coaster maybe for this year.

For 2012(due to the Olympics) I think a massive 30 million pound investment on a new coaster, waterpark and a new land at the back of Transylvania good idea i think.

Chessie have applied to make the sea life centre permanent. No documents forthcoming yet, but I hope that they do something about it just looking like a tent.

Yes they need to get rid of it. It looks tacky.

Not really, Bubbleworks is a dark ride that uses a water channel as a transit system. If you had any sort of rapids element in there the boats would probably smash up.

As long as Chessington continue the level of magic they put into Wild Asia then I am sure the rumoured rapids will be great.

No, it is still a rumour. However, Chessington have confirmed that in the future they will be focussing on refurbishing/updating old areas. New rides will focus on the whole family, so expect some tame and some more thrilling attractions. The next area to be developed is probably the field behind what is now Wild Asia and a rapids is likely.

Awful! Awful! AWFUL! Goes against common sense itself. You are joking, right? :P

Anyway, I have some news: the so called "scary bloke", Abdab, from Terror Tomb...

Is back!

Three of the old animatronics have been saved after the storage cupboards in Tomb Blaster were emptied, dressed up and placed with new theming in the queue for Vampire! I have not seen his face for years and he still frightens me! I will have some photos in my trip report soon!

Two close-ups of his face. There will be a third photo if I can get Flickr to work. The new theming in Vampire's queue look great (even if seeing Abdab again is rather spooky). Also, the waterfall near Vampire's entrance is now 'blood' (as in Nemesis!), and the old entrance music now plays as it once did around Bubbleworks! :D
