Speaking of Zoo Days during half term, I have only just noticed that they are running them on the two weekends before AP day (1st, 2nd, 8th, 9th March)

General Chessington Discussion

It'll probably have the same line up as African Adventures, but with less animal shows and probably no Madagascar Live. But I could be wrong.

I could be the same as Festive Zoo Days but minus Seastorm. Or even, dare I say, just the Zoo!!!!! An actually Chessington Zoo Day, I don't think such a thing has existed! :P

I with the Ride Status page would be updated for FHT, it would be useful.

It very nearly happened.

On 2nd January, the only attraction open was Hocus Pocus Hall.

Most likely it will be the Zoo plus Hocus Pocus Hall. No extra rides whilst they get everything ready for opening in March.

Notices had already been put on-park to say this, but it's nice to hear it from the website too! :)

Is that website very reliable though, it also says dragon falls will open for march 2014 and I thought it was confirmed that it will be shut this year??

I never knew Dragon Falls was to be closed... I thought it was meant to be done for the £14m investment, but with everything else got delayed. I think it might close towards the end of the 2014 season, ready for a closed season transformation.

Apparently, Rameses Revenge has been repaired and refurbed. The scaffolding is coming down. :D This whole season seems to be coming together right at the last minute. :P

Is Market Square done? Also, is Transylvania back?

I cannot guarantee this information to be true, as it does not come from a 100% reliable source, however I thought I'd share it anyway as it interested me.

YooHoo and friends could be teaming up with Chessington with a rename of the Children's zoo

Aurora World has revealed a new marketing initiative which will see its YooHoo & Friends brand become exclusive sponsor of the Children's Zoo at Chessington World of Adventures Resort.

The petting zoo will be renamed the 'YooHoo & Friends Children's Zoo' during the period of the sponsorship campaign, with all signage - including notices and animal profile boards, park maps and websites - themed with YooHoo & Friends graphics.

The adjoining shop will also be rebranded as the 'YooHoo & Friends at the AMAZU Shop' and will now remain open all year-round. The property will have a significant presence in a themed area within the store.

The opening weekend will be supported by a meet and greet with YooHoo costume characters and special giveaways for children.

"This collaboration with one of the UK's foremost attractions is a very exciting development for YooHoo & Friends," said Nigel Layton-Hill, Aurora's sales director. "It will further endorse YooHoo as a leading plush brand and must have collectable for now and the future."

To me, this sound like a load of rubbish, but I wondered what everyone thought of it?

Sorry for many posts in a row.

Chessington just updated their website! http://www.chessington.com/default.aspx

Could this be a sign of the 2014 map? (taken from new site)

The full map can be found here:

I'm not sure I like the new site, the old one was better, at least this one is more consistent. It's also stopped the spinning globe in the logo. :(

Anyone else notice how it still says 'Mexicana' not 'Scorpion Valley'?
