Thanks for the info, they seem to be focusing on the zoo alot now don't they? Not that it's a bad thing.

I am certain that Market Square Pizza Pasta will be replacing Pizza Hut (it wouldn't take an Einstein to work that out) & the scare-maze, Black Forest Pass sounds promising, even if it is only a tempomary attraction. I could see CWOA getting some ride-investment next season though :D

I quite like the fact that Chessington is getting lots of investment and focus on their Zoo. I could see this becoming the park's focus once again.

"Beach area with water complex".

That'll be the Thorpe Beach closing then...

I think there main concern at the moment is the Zoo and the other facilities. In the eyes of the majority of Chessington's guests, the rides they have are enough for a day out.
1. Expedition Everest 2. Hollywood Tower of Terror 3.Superman De Acero 4. Katun and Nemesis 6. OzIris 7. Blue Fire 8. Black Mamba 9. Manta 10. Oblivion

Fair enough but they are not even putting any effort into the upkeep of the rides - for example Beanoland is looking pretty tired now in its 9th season

The contract for the beano stuff runs out at the end of this year so unless they intend on renewing the contract then i cant seem them doing anything about that.

I hope Merlin and Chessy could fix up a bit of paint in some of the areas to make it look fresh again for this season. Apart from the excitement of the rides and attractions, it would certainly make a brighter atmosphere.

It's all about the budgets really. Towards the end of last year a lot of areas were being re-painted such as the Jumbos and the Carousel. The Skyway is also being refurbished, I don't know if that means new trains, but it's something that's really needed.

I don't think a Rapids is in the pipe-line, but I agree that its something would benefit Chessington enormously. The only thing standing in the way is space and where it would go. The grass land next to Pirates Cove is a good location but as Legoland had a Pirate themed rapids built only two years ago, I doubt Merlin would build a similar ride.

I would love to see a small scale tower of terror drop ride built in transilvanya themed around Draculars dungeon that would fit the park so well.

Exactly but they could make it enclosed so that a smaller version would still give a good impact - like the drop tower at the Dungeons which is awesome.

Chessington Ice Age 3: Summer Attraction 2009

Mon Jul 06, 2009 5:20 pm

Came across this on the below video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KHEmMZ0BLYc

However i am not clear what it really is im guessing some sort of 4D attraction, but does anyone else know, or have some more information?

From what I gather, it's a park event. :)
