No. It's because it spins too much.

Fail...

I highly doubt that this ride will last longer than 5 years, not in the Britsh climate anyway, plus the added fact its at a Merlin park, meaning a ride never gets maintained in its first 10 years of life anyway. Isn't it already leaking, and aren't the sprayers broke too as well?

:)

Oh dear god at already broken things #-o
Oh well, all the more reason to get rid of it ASAP.

Is Colossus still annoyingly loud?

Now my sister can't go on it, which means even fewer rides to occupy her so less chance of me going with my family :(

Another reason to put up the parking charges or gate prices! Got to pay for it somehow!

Sorry but that's rubbish! Although it's clearly a lower-budget ride model, these rides aren't designed in someone's shed, they're built by proper ride companies. In a moderate weather area (which Britain is), the ride will stand for as long as they want it to. It may be rubbish but it's got a pretty high build quality for its type, and the ride rafts will hardly be putting a lot of pressure on the structure. :)

To answer a few questions...

1. It isn't Western themed - Storm Surge is themed around the Hill Billys of Amity Cove (God knows) using the Tidal Wave to their advantage = a new ride.

2. It WAS leaking, I now believe that it has all been repaired.

3. It does have some issues operating in the rain (sensor problems), but this may have been fixed now.

4. I think all sprays etc. are working ok.

This height limit change, is it for a similar reason Dragon Falls at Chessie has increased? And for that, is Logger's increasing?

And, this ride is actually very fun to ride. However, it looks terrible and is definitely in the worst location it could have been in. Next to Stealth or squeezed between N:I and Rumba Rapids (and around the old train track) would have been much better!

What would have been cool (if it wasn't very dangerous and impossible) is that you put the ride close enough to Tidal Wave, and time the cars in time with Tidal Wave, so the wave hits the slide

Nah, it won't be - D4n doesn't smile ;)

:P

...actually, I quite like the advert as well. In fact really like it. It's exactly the kind of marketing style/theme/stance I'd like the park to take. Infinitely better than the terrible map, the awful website and the rather nasty big heads. Unlike any of those, that advert (were I not to know any better) would want to make me visit the park :)

I love the way in the advert they stuck to their original advert. You know, the one with the guy trying to find thrills in a kids playground roundabout. Also, I like the new map! It may be a little scary, but I think it is quite good...

Its not too bad, the graphics at the end look bad but from an editing point of view its got pace and the initial bit on the floor buffer is quite fun.

Seen better but I think for value of money it does a better job than the Towers one, and a better job. (In my opinion)

Does it not anger anyone how this ride is still advertised as a high thrill on the advert, yet really it is a family orientated ride? Or is that just me?! :)

Whilst Th13teen is by no means a thrill ride... it does at least appeal to a wide audience, whilst I feel Storm Surge is only likely to attract younger visitors.

Blaze's point was that Thirteen was marketing as a thrill ride when it wasn't...

EXACTLY the same as Storm Surge's marketing speil...
