Last clue is unlocked.

You’ve found our secret carriage and you’re now one step closer to riding THORPE PARK Resort’s newest attraction.

I'll reserve my rant for the morning.

To make it easier for now, I'll say I've lost all hope in Merlin.

As for the manufacture? SimWorks, I'm guessing?

No ranting please :). You can rant all you want when you have gone to Thorpe Park and experienced it if it doesn't live up to expectations.

As for the name of the attraction, really who cares? I can't find a better name for an attraction created by Derren Brown & is in essence a 21st century re-imagining of a Ghost Train then *drumroll please* Derren Brown's Ghost Train.

My page doesn't say that the last clue is unlocked - it still says "end of January" on my screen. Also, what do I win for guessing the name right?

The name is simple and straight to the point. I like the name, no one moaned about the Haunted House, or other ghost trains names, so whats so different about this? On a brighter note, I am really hyped for this, if executed correctly it could be amazing, and with the input of Derren Brown this is the most faith I've ever had in a Merlin ride, even moreso than the smiler!

That clue was probably the hardest to figure out of the lot but I managed it in the end.

So it's specifically states

Ghost Train - Reinvented for the 21st Century

Train - Suspended 3 meters above the ground and 26 meters wide

The fact there is clear difference between these two things makes me think that the 'Train' may be some sort of show element?

World's First - Fusing together five multi-sensory experiences into one attraction

Best In Class Technology

Duration - 13 minutes

Now they're really pushing this. I wonder why, possibly because it's extremely long, even for a dark ride?

Seats Per Train - 60

Now the use of the word 'per' suggests two or more trains, this means that it's unlikely we will board the suspended train and it also gives me extremely high hopes this atteactiin will consume queues extremely quickly!

Purpose Built Warehouse - 2306 Square Meters

Build Time - 3 years

Now I know this likely includes planning and such but could this possibly be referring to how long it's taken to produce the theming elements as well?

soecialists - Over 1000 people involved in the concept design and build

The Next Generation of Theme Park Experience - 4D, grand illusion, live action, special effects and transportation of your body and mind

This paragraph is also intriguing -

MINDS WANTED wrote:
AT THE HEART OF THE ISLAND YOU DISCOVER A DISUSED WAREHOUSE. AS YOU ENTER A SEEMINGLY INNOCENT VICTORIAN TRAIN CARRIAGE, IT SOON BECOMES CLEAR AS SIGHTS AND SOUNDS FILL YOUR SENSES, THAT YOU WILL COME FACE-TO-FACE WITH WHAT LIES AT THE END OF THE LINE.

I assume from this paragraph this attraction will be quite scary, maybe not so scary people should be nervous about it but to say, this is not an attraction for children! I can definitely see a 1.4 meter height limit applied to this along with the 12A age-restriction just based on the recent media that's been released, as its even creeped me out a bit! I also assume the slogan will be "DERAIL YOUR MIND" as its used so frequently on the site.

Now all this sounds great, I wonder if this is the only announcement from THORPE PARK, although the 9AM time is likely to be for the official Facebook reveal.

Could be another immersive tunnel from Simworx like early construction possibly hinted at. It also checks the box for the multi-sensory part as well.

An adrenaline inducing adventure that will excite, thrill, scare and enthrall in equal measures, the Immersive Tunnel is Simworx’s latest innovative product. In configurations of 30, 60 and 90 seats.

Each ‘tram’ unit sits upon a highly dynamic 3DOF motion base and is surrounded by 360° 3D film projection which, combined with our range of 4D effects, results in an unrivaled attraction.

Derren Brown's Ghost Train - New for 2016

Mon Jan 18, 2016 1:45 am

See I really don't think that the train ride will be the only thing in this building, so now looking at it this seems quite viable. However, something like The Hogwarts Express at Universal Orlando would also work great, although enhanced.

Personally I can see this ride having soft openings (if it's ready) on Thursaday the 17th and Friday the 18th of March, as this is when the park first opens, with the official opening on Saturday the 19th of March to gain the maximum crowd!

Also people have assumed that this is it, but in Southparks Facebook post it states there is more to come at 9AM (although personally, I think we've gotten enough info without spoiling it currently)...

So the website hints at there maybe being two possible trains? seats per train being 60 as Owen mentioned.

Now this is speculation but if it was an immersive tunnel could this how it pans out?

Image

- Pre-show 3-4 mins.
- Boarding the train in the station, VR sequence. 4-5 mins.
- Immersive tunnel - take off the headset, replace with 3D Glasses & now comes the finale lasting around 5-6 mins.

One group of 60 is in the pre-show while one group is on the 1st train in the loading bay with VR while the third group in the second train is doing the immersive tunnel. That's my thoughts anyway.

On the 10-15 minute ride, there are 12 possible journeys to get to two alternate endings. Dependant on choices made, each individual rider will encounter a different path as they go through the experience.

In the VR world I feel is where the 12 possible journeys & choices are made (would probably need audio immersion as well though), however everyone on the train will have to experience the finale. Two possible endings, may just vary or may actually be two immersive tunnels.

If you look at the Lost Temple in Movie Park the pre-show is right outside the boarding station when it then takes them into the main ride building aka Immersive Tunnel.

Even though concept art shows it I don't think we'll see a carriage hanging from chains within the building. If anything my guess is it may be seen as suspended in the air while in VR.

Seeing as the article posted before but is now inaccessible had the correct train image as seen in the reveal I'm accepting it to be a legitimate article.

Took me a while but I've finally found the last clue! It is cunning and you'll get a great sense of satisfaction when you find it!

As for the name - firstly, yes I called it! Secondly, I think it totally makes sense. It is a name that needs no explanation. If it had a cryptic name like "MindGame" or "BrainStorm" then everyone would just be asking "well, what is it all about then?" - Derren Brown's Ghost Train is a proper Ronseal title. Old school with a twist - which is essentially what Derren's brand of Victorian parlour magic is all about.

Hey guys. I don't want the answer to the clue, just how to find it. I have a 1.8 year old climbing on me, no wifi and am using a phone which for some reason doesn't want to play videos!!!

Grr.

Again, I don't want the answer - just a teeny hint where to look!

Derren Brown's ghost train. Not a huge fan of the name to be honest. Never even heard of him before this ordeal.

I hope the ride is good though :)

If I say so myself, the detective work on this forum is pretty good :D

How do you unlock the new clue? Is it a URL based one like the bellows clue or is it something I have to do on the website?
