Its Thorpe Park that has a height ceiling of around 110ft, Alton Towers has upto tree height. Other parks are dependent on local laws etc

To be honest, I'm pretty sure the heigh barrier is ficitious. I'd say there is no set height limit, more that each application is judged on its own merits. For example this would be why Stealth is painted in unobtrusive white and has a minimalistic support strucutre. I'm sure they could go a lot higher than 110ft again if they wanted to.

I've never read or heard from a credible source that Stealth is a 'one off'.

Have they even got room for another coaster? The park looks a bit squishy as it is. As for Alton, a cocktail of viagra and miracle grow should do the trick to make the trees bigger...!

There currently expanding by in-filling the lake surrounding it :)

Blackpool has a 300ft height limit because of the Airport. Other than that they don't have to worry about anything else. 300ft ride would be allowed and residents can't moan either lol.

I think it's for the rumoured hotel. Maybe a walkway across to it as I hear it's going to be across the lake where Stealth's station is :?.

First of all have a look at this!

Ok, how sections such as C and A are created is that a temporary link will be built from B to allow diggers to be able to build the islands, once work is all completed they will retreat and remove sections, forming islands.

As far as I am aware their will be no solid link to the park, it will all be via bridges and boats.

I think the idea of bridges and boats is very good. Creates a bit of magic!

Went to Thorpe yesterday and tried my upmost to talk to anyone in a uniform to try and get some info.

I spoke to one op and he said two new rides were coming next year. One from Alton Towers and another. He wouldnt tell me what one from AT but Quantum is being taken apart as we speak and looks as though its gonna be gone forever (thank god!).

Maybe Blade going there? Who knows.

However.............. When i asked him about the coaster for next year, he smiled and said there are lots of rumours flying around, but said that there is alot of landfill going on behind Flying Fish and gave me a ltiitle smile.

Behind FF yes there is alot of filling going on, and nothing behind Samurai, mmmm makes you think!

Sam wasnt operational all day, Neither was Stealth, Nemmie went down half way through the day leaving HUGGEEE queues for Col (Which had no down time!) slammer and rush.

Tidal wave 120 mins JEEPERS!

Also what has happened to detonator? Its useless, we were at the top for about 4 minutes when it went down, lucky it was quickly resolved and we were sent plumetting down. What is going on with it, its has had an awful year this year. Bloody Fabbri lol

An awful lot of "Visitors" walking around too with suits on and loads of paperwork. I tried my upmost to see if any of them had B & M on their name badges but unfortuantly to no avail.

Well thats it, whats your views on the goss then?

Isn't he a Joker? :P

I don't think Quantum is going, I heard there was an inccident and it waiting for a part. Not sure about this Alton Towers ride though? :-s

It's likely he was having you on mate. Park staff will very rarely actually tell you what's going on, or even know themselves.

Splash Karts

Seems the most likely choice, it's not as if they've got nowhere to put it.....

Plus with this Merry England retheme looking more and more likely, it would make sense...

Well who knows. Quantum was proper in disrepair, The Quantumsinage had all been removed. Surely they wont remove it if they are waiting for a part.

Thats my thinking anyway. Pardon me if i am incorrect.

How do we know its a flyer anyway. Its all speculation. So my info is a s goods as anyone elses

That's why I think you've been had, because you say you just went to 'anyone'.

I spoke to one op and he said two new rides were coming next year. One from Alton Towers and another. He wouldnt tell me what one from AT but Quantum is being taken apart as we speak and looks as though its gonna be gone forever (thank god!).

Wouldn't of thought they'd buy anything from AT and i'm not entirely sure why they'd remove Quantum. It's a brilliant ride...
Maybe Blade going there? Who knows.

Thorpe would not get Blade for 2 reasons:

1.) It's crap.
2.) Thorpe already a ride that does the exact same motion.

However.............. When i asked him about the coaster for next year, he smiled and said there are lots of rumours flying around, but said that there is alot of landfill going on behind Flying Fish and gave me a ltiitle smile.

The coaster will be next to Samurai i'm 90% sure. That infill is for (read's Kaz's post) and then the hotel.

Behind FF yes there is alot of filling going on, and nothing behind Samurai, mmmm makes you think!

There is nothing behind Samurai because they've been filling in next to Samurai. I don't think they will be doing much more infilling around that area for now.

Also what has happened to detonator? Its useless, we were at the top for about 4 minutes when it went down, lucky it was quickly resolved and we were sent plumetting down. What is going on with it, its has had an awful year this year. Bloody Fabbri lol

Yep Detonator has had some major problems this season. Hasn't been able to open all day. And on my last visit 3 or 4 of the seats were defunct.

An awful lot of "Visitors" walking around too with suits on and loads of paperwork. I tried my upmost to see if any of them had B & M on their name badges but unfortuantly to no avail.

Doubt you'd see any from a ride manufacturer as the ride plans will probably of been sent in for approval by now.

Well who knows. Quantum was proper in disrepair, The Quantumsinage had all been removed. Surely they wont remove it if they are waiting for a part.

The sign is still there...

How do we know its a flyer anyway. Its all speculation. So my info is a s goods as anyone elses

Obviously we don't know for sure as there has been no press release but the rumours that have gone around and hints been said have shown Thorpe have been looking alot into a flyer so that seems like the best bet at the moment.
