Well it's true, the disabled queue is pretty useless and they have only done it as an excuse to get rid of the single rider queue. Sure some people classed as disabled can use the queue, but it's not exactly a useful disabled queue if it has steps in it as it does mean that a significant proportion of disabled people are unable to use it. A disabled queue should allow access for all disabled guests; that is the point of them is it not?

:)

Rob, I see what you're saying, The queue is pretty much Useless for guests with Physical Disabilities. But it's not useless for those with Mental Disabilities.

:)

But Now I wonder, Why get rid of the Single rider and replace with a disabled queueline? There's already one there if I'm correct

Because it makes people more likely to purchase fastracks. A lot of people will make use of the single rider queue if the main queue is long as they think they can reduce their queue time. However if there is not the option of a single rider queue then the people in question may resort to purchasing a fastrack to skip the queue. It's another little money making thing.

Thorpe claim it is to increase the speed on the main queue but their "reasoning" leaves people in groups sitting on their own and is utterly ridiculous.

Reason being is that the original disabled entrance was the exit. When it was busy, they got unmanagable crowds around the exit, causing problems with the unloading of the ride etc. The queueline makes everything far more managable. There's still a lift for those unable to use steps.

Flying fish was replaced because it just wasn't used, and at least some people might actually wanna queue for the front.

The Swarms LEDS will look cool in the dark, they are even on the side.

All we need now is some fire

OHOHOHHH!!! I was wondering when they'd get those sorted :) Russell and I had a really good gawp at them on the two days we were there over opening, as there seemed to be an absolute abundance of them all over the train.

Fright Nights will make for some excellent long-exposure photography :D! Those LEDs really are the crown for such stunning trains.

The trains did look awesome with them on yesterday. They seem to have a sort of flashing "pattern" as well which will look cool. Although with the sunny weather yesterday, they didn't show up in the pictures.
If you go down to the Towers today, you\'d better ride Th13teen. :P

I think that video of the fire was when it was testing. I visited 3 days in a row recently and there was no fire. The bang is there for the fire in the track tho you can hear when it will explode.

Yes the Leds do look good, they will look cool at fright night's.

What a fantastic offer, Lord knows it's hard to find half-price Thorpe Park admission anywhere else.

... what's wrong with publicity stunts?

Increased publicity means more people talking about the park, which in turn results in higher gate figures and more money, some of which (in theory) will be ploughed straight back into the park.

So long as they aren't distasteful, I fail to see how publicity stunts can be seen as a negative thing?

I don't mind these types. This is just advertising, so that is fine. However, types like the Wayne Rooney prostitute one are aweful.
