Went on Swarm today.

Pros: Great fun! Found it as intense on front and back. Loved front right though because of the fact you can see everything. The scenery is great, and so is the station and queue.
Cons: I was surprised how short it was. It also broke down a lot. And the seatbelts did get tight on my shoulders.

All in all, great ride! Still prefer Saw, but it was still pretty awesome.

8/10

Sat second from back on the left today and it was such a thrill! My tummy was loving it lol!
It was on reduced capacity due to a technical fault though and had a little 10 min break down in the morning. Hope they can iron out the problems it's having soon though because the ride on it is getting better each time. The water spray was being a bit lazy as well but I wasn't fussed about that.
Next Trip: Alton Towers 16/17 October!

Silent Disco means there is no music playing out in the queue lines, but you collect some earphones which are playing the music!

Their events line up has just been immense so far this year.
I'm assuming the majority of the old entertainments team got the sack after a diabolical start with Saw alive, and the less advertised nameless under 18's club.

But if there is a new team they definitely know what they're doing.

Special entrance just for VIPs
Access to the “golden circle” (front of stage). You can’t get any closer!
PLUS skip the queue: Your VIP wristband will allow you ultimate Fastrack entrance to all rides from 7pm*!

I saw on the celebrity opening of the coaster that they did indeed have flood lights :) they looked good at the time and I hope they will be returning for FN, I also hope that the fire effect will be functioning and that the actual eyes of the creature will be working :)

Just wanted to say the concept for the theme of this ride is excellent. Isn't it supposed to be the end of the world? And for some reason, that really worked for me in a year where my fears are that way inclined. Genius.

For me not having the effects going has never bothered me, because I knew they would not work for more than half a season even if they did work to start with! LOL! ;) Oh well...Yeah, Swarm, its alright, but I would give it a C+ (could do better) For little bits here and there! :)

Fire worked for a few hours this morning, but when I went on, no fire or water effects.

But I should not set such high expectations for things to work, this is Thorpe Park we are talking about.
If you go down to the woods today

It was down until around 4 yesterday... The fire is tempermental really, but I guess that's like many things, especially when it's a new effect, it won't catch alight every time... It's very cool though when it goes off though, especially when you're on the Stealth brake run...

Thorpe had about 6/7 rides down at points yesterday, the maintenance seems to have faltered quite badly recently, with Rumba and Zodiac down all day yesterday, Slammer and Saw Alive closed for a long time, Swarm and Fish shut most of the day, and Stealth and Saw breaking down every so often... It's all gone to pot again...
