Legoland & Castle Hotels Discussion

Mon Apr 15, 2013 7:13 pm

Guests were evacuated after part of the swimming pool ceiling collapsed at the Legoland Hotel, in Winkfield Road.

A lifeguard at the resort spotted a crack in the suspended ceiling at around 4.15pm on Saturday.

A Legoland Windsor spokeswoman said the building was evacuated and the fire service was called as part of the hotel's procedure to account for every person.

Firefighters from Windsor and Slough attended as well as ambulance crews and police.

The spokeswoman said: "We have apologised unreservedly to the guests and 18 rooms above the pool area were moved for noise reasons.

"They all seem happy."

Guests were allowed back into the hotel by 6.30pm and the pool is now closed for maintenance.

Doesn't surprise me. When looking at the construction photos I thought the place was a joke. But then Merlin probably just put the plans out for tender and accepted the cheapest quote...

Any tips for legoland hotel at best price!

Thu Apr 28, 2016 11:59 am

Hello all
We are off to LEGOLAND for the first time on September 24th, and need to stay at Legoland hotel - went online a few weeks ago and was £395, went online today to book and has increased to £436 for a pirate/adventure room which is obviously not marvellous. Was wondering if waiting a bit will make the price become even more huge or will it go down again!? Or is there another website to get it cheaper.... can't stay in a partner hotel cause other family members going and they have already booked LEGOLAND hotel. Any advice would be great.... thanks :)
