Theme Park Aerial Photos

Sat Jan 07, 2006 11:13 pm

Courtesy of Google Earth, I've collected some fantastic aerial photos of Thorpe Park & Chessington - see http://www.themeparks-uk.com/theme_park ... hotos.html

They are very recent (2005) which is nice as so many on the web are from years ago, does anyone have any detailed ones of Alton Towers etc.

I didn't even notice!

The Thorpe one must be 2005 asit has Slamer & Rush, when do you think the Chessington one is from?

Probably, google say they update photos in 3 years.

I\'m here to kick backside and chew fruit pastilles, and guess what, I\'m out of fruit pastilles...

Err 2001 or 2002.

It's not 2001 as you can see Denis's Madhouse in the picture. I think its 2003, as I dont think the trampolines were in Market Square before that time.

Wow i love aerial photos its interesting to see the parks from a different perspective than you usually do

The Chessington one reminded me how cool Vampire is, it's a shame more parks don't really use the terrain to make the most of customised coaster routes

AT @ 1:50,000

AT @ 1:25,000

AT @ 10,000

theres also 1:5000 but it doeant all fit on one thing and ordange servey mapping on 25,000, also 5000 also shows all the roads inside the park on the map. (that appears when you hover the mouse)

these are quite old (before air, spinball, splash cart challenge etc.)
