Hmmm, you are probably right Sam. I would love one just to go over the edge that would add a new element to the ride. I don't think it would take out the fear factor because for me on Oblivion it is the climb and the curve that is the scariest personally the hang is just an extra amenity.

On a seperate note it looks so small compared to others it's the Jr Dive Machine!

:P

My Germans not great but I swear the project manager said the splashdown is after the Immelman? He certainly mentions it as the train is coming out of the Immelman.

The holding brake is working. I think the video has just been edited with the train already moving.

Me and a group are hoping to visit this park in June but never been so was wondering if anyone knew the best airport (Hamburg?) to get to and then how best to get to the park from airport. Any help would be great, thanks :)

KRAKE on the new Heide Park map...

From TPR Forums.

And Paul - we are going next month, it would seem Hamburg is the best airport. You can fly from Luton with Easyjet. We are staying in Hamburg and also visiting Hansa-Park.

Eeeee! :D

Another faultless, smooth, almost sexy performance from B&M. Even though this is a park I know little about and probably not visit anytime soon, I find that coaster testing a lot more exciting than when we first saw Th13teen going round this time last year.

A couple of updates from Heide Park's Facebook page:

The theming is looking very nice though nothing is yet in place at the bottom of the drop it seems. I'm sure that will change fairly soon though. This looks like it could be another good coaster from Merlin along with Raptor!

Now I like that advert! :D

Looking forward to seeing the theming at the bottom of the drop once it's complete, I have high expectations for it!

Are Merlin just setting out to make some of the most sinister and disturbing TV ads?!

First Th13teen. Now Krake. LC12 should be interesting :P

I love Krake's advert, it reminded me a lot of Oblivion's ad, however.

That advert is brilliant in terms of drawing attention, if it was in this country would it have to be after the watershed?

^Hmmmm possible... Then again Doctor Who gets away with it so who knows...

But it's still FAB... Really really really cannot wait for this as well tbh... It's so cute and adorable I'll be wanting to take it home...

That advert was great... but utterly terrifying! it really gave me goose bumps! I was not expecting that! I will have to got to Heide Park at some point!

I think i'm gonna have nightmares or happy dreams (can't decide which!) about Krake now!

Brilliant! :D I love the homage to Oblivion's advert.
But yes, in this country it would probably get banned

Doctor Who episode "The Eleventh Hour" hasn't been banned and features similar mouthy CGI.

(And thats for a family audience  )

Ah, but what you fail to factor in is that were this advert in the UK, Merlin would actually want it banned, as that in itself would create a load more publicity...

This ride looks unbelievably good, and the way Germans say it's name...love it.

The advert is really freaky, but I can't help but notice that they've used the multi-toothed version of a Kraken made popular by POTC, not the classic beak usually attributed to them...not sure about that, think I prefer the freaky beak!

I do feel cheated though, in 2006 I came up with an idea for a ride called Nemesis Hydro, a B&M dive machine that dropped into a lake into the mouth of another Nemesis (after sleeping-under-the-ground Nemmie and slumbering-inside-a-volcano Nemmie), making a kind of trilogy out of the story...along with plans to bring back some sort of telling of the original nemesis story at Towers and a story added to Inferno...would have been great to try and connect multiple ride stories across the Merlin brand!
