PortAventura do not bother with decent queuelines. I noticed this when I visited in 2009 - the majority are literally a roof over a cattle pen.

It's a shame, because they could do some really story based/well themed queuelines but they shy away from it. Not sure why, as PA is a pretty good park for "area theming". Yet queue lines and on ride theming tends to be limited.

Just as well this looks cracking track and train.

Woah! Worlds most hideous queue? Possibly. I can't imagine waiting to ride that is any fun at all. If ever there was an advert for paying for fast track tickets, that queue would be it!

At least that queue will move quickly. It's a combination of being not very nice and slow moving that putts me of Rita's queue.

Was anyone else shocked by the MCBR. Talk about fast, it flies straight through it. I swear it's going to fast to actual stop the train if it needed to. Then again I can't imagine they will ever need it given the ridiculously long finale break run. What is it with B&M and long break runs lately? At first I thought it was just the Wingriders but now I've noticed all their new rides have an excessive amount of breaking space.

Anyway it’s a good looking ride.

At least in that queue it's covered from the sun or rain... Making it better than Rita's awfulness...

Would always rather shaded cattlepens than unshaded any day of the week... Besides, looks no worse than Drakkar at Rainbow Magicland...

That makes Dreamflight's queue at Efteling look like a joyous experience.

You can't even see the railings. It's just a mass of people.

I think I said a while back when I went and had a look at Shambhala, the queue line was literally a roof with zig zags. However I am suprised that you guys are suprised by it!...In PA staff do nothing about queue jumpers, nor do they care about what is going on in the queue line (generally) So it would make no sense for PA to create an expensive, expanse of a queue line, when it is far easier, to give a ruler and pencil to a todler and see what is created on an A4 sheet of paper!

I can't even see any fans on the ceiling - it must be sweltering in there! :?

Nice video showing the (beautiful) area theming:

That tunnel is still hideous though, it's like PA's own Air tunnel.

To be fair though, they don't really need to theme the inside of it, as you're travelling through it at a fair cop in comparison to Air...

Of course, it's not greatly themed from the outside, but it is at least themed to a degree and not Leviathan...

I am so looking forward to this! (apart from the queue)

I'm going to PA for the first time at the beginning of july, does anybody have any idea of how busy the park would be around this time? as it is before the british school holidays, and i was going to go to the park on a weekday not weekend.

Kmh89, I have been many times to PA throughout the year, and July, I am afraid will be fairly busy, because they have many, many Spanish school children doing day trips.
As long as you get ahead of them at the start of the day, i.e. bypass Furius Baco first thing, then you will be fine.
The school kids offer a huge problem at PA because the spanish seem to struggle with the terminology behined the word 'queueline'...so when you see a queue, add an extra third of guests into the queue line, because they are sure to invite the entire coach infront of you, and the staff will not do anything!
So expect Shambhala's easy pickings queue line to be a haven for Spanish school kids all doing the Olympic Hurdles!
So expect 60 minute queues for most rides and 2 hours for Furius (in the morning) however after 3, they all start to leave and then most rides will be 10 minutes or less! Hope that Helps!

Watched it again. Changed my mind, it's brilliant. Shame about the breakrun though. Could have got another bit of airtime in there.

But then without the MCBR, they wouldn't be able to run a 3rd train, and hence have a low throughput...

A necessary evil...

It'll be open till midnight. When it cools, down, between 5PM and 8PM (when the park gets busier again), it's just great.

It's unbearable on park in the middle of the day during summer. Simply too hot.

Much better to get on park around 4.00pm! Ride queues tended to close between 11.30 and 11.45pm.

I'm a bit late to this thread...

Just looked at the POV on Youtube and: oh my days! I love Port Aventura (been twice), so think it's time for another visit.

Also LOVE the new B&M seat configuration / restraints for this ride. Looks so roomy.

Mean the final one. Not at all necessary to be that long.
