So was it for transport round the park?
(By the way, why is there a Pube on the lense of that photo? :P )
No, it just weaved about on that patch of tarmac (note the white circles on the ground).

And I don't know, the photo was donated to us. :P

The snake train was one of the first rides Drayton had and it was built by George Bryan out of old tractor parts, as with most of the original attractions at Drayton due to not having loads of money and materials due to war.

The snake train used to run around the main lake and where the triangular pathways are.

What an odd interview, for some reason, I find it very hard to believe that's real. For one, I fail to believe DMP would be represented which such a horrendous mass murder of all grammatic rules.

I have no reason to doubt that it is CB, just a badly transcribed layout of the responses on the forum. If you read the old interviews with him on the likes if the old Coaster Kingdom Webmag, he does tend to respond in a similar way to questions there too.

Personally, I suspect the Hotel is running over budget, and any responses have to be loose, to keep their options open.

The engine of the Snake Train should be to the left of that picture with loads of greeney growing over it.

Atleast it was when i worked there.

That picture brings back loads of memorys, i spent so many hours sitting in that hut you can see the support and roof of on the right, which is the back of Rainforest Pizza.

Looking into making the last minute decision to head to the park tomorrow, how busy is it likely to be, because if it isn't dead, I really don't want to pay full price.

Pandemonium Down Again At Drayton Manor

Wed Sep 29, 2010 5:24 pm

As some of you may know a couple of seasons back Drayton were having major problems with Pandemonium and I belived they left it closed through the summer season and were awaiting a part to fix the motor? :?

Anyway the past few weeks ive been checking what rides are down and for i'd say the past 2 weeks now Pandemonium has been on there.. So it makes me wonder if the same thing has happened once again.

Your thoughts & comments?

It was down when I went exactly 3 weeks ago and didn't look like it had been open for quite some time. Shame, as I realy fancied riding it.
For some things there is no rational explanation. There is no way out. There is no happy ending to this story. Welcome to the unknown. Welcome to eternal darkness.

If the problem something to do with the way that instead of having a dropping floor, the Whole ride is raised up? Seems a bit daft to me.

Re: Drayton Manor General Topic

Hey all, just returned from Drayton Manor as a pretty good day out with good and bad points wich I thought would be best posted in this topic..

There was 3 of us who went for my friends 18th Birthday who had not visited the park since Year 9 so thought it would be a nice day out as its pretty local..

G Force - BRMB Sponser
In my opinion is so much better! While queing for the ride we heard Lady GaGa - Telephone, P!nk - So What, Alicia Keys - New York its so much better than listening to that instremental music and they have also turned off windows media player  and left the disco lights on.

Drunken Barrels
Sign has been removed for whatever reasona and STILL not in operation. Looks another bad season for the ride to be honest. And the sign in reffering to is the one with the Beer mugs pulling the funny faces.

The Haunting
The doors broke and staff have to push it open manually also no music outside.. again.. but staff have improved on this by telling guests to be quite in the picture room were it shakes also 3 staff on it 1 in the truck, 1 in picture room and the next in the chappel.

Excalibur
Near enough non of the animatronics working along with audio. Dragon's also still no breathing fire.

Pirate Adventure
ALOT of lights have gone on this (spot lights) so alot of dull momments and some of the animatronics have really had it now and need urgently replacing.

4D Cinema
The projectors broken but the ever so helpful woman explained the situation saying it had broke and gone off for repair but all the effects in the show were still working.

Apocalypse
Staff were being lazy! We went on sitdown twice 1st time both sides were working and both staff there and 2nd time only 1 side working while the other worker went round the other side to have a natter with another staff memeber when she could blatently see there was a que building and there was no one queing for stand up at this momment in time neither.

Pandemonium
Has had peices taken off it themeing and mechcanical wise and its at the top where the problem seems to be.

So theres a little update for you all! :D

Those songs on G Force, would be even worse than the techno crap they normally play, at least if the Tesla worked it would be good, but in that shed, with no way out, being forced to listen to Lady Gaga, I'd probably kill myself :hraaagh:

Alternatively you could just not ride? ;) After all, the ride itself makes me want to kill myself...

Nah, the first half is alright, but once it gets to the turnaround after the inversions and just before the ORP, it dies.
