That looks breath-taking in all honesty. Absolutely amazing!

That gets my pick just from that video.

Altons rapids I found extremely tame, you hardly get wet at all and they arn't very bouncy at all.

IOA's on the other hand are amazing, you might as well jump straight in thats how wet you get so much fun. I can't wait till we got to Florida again in April and I can ride them again :D

Old topic...but w/e :D

My Vote goes to Popeye and Blutos Bilge Rat Barges - IOA, followed by the Kali River Rapids at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Good theming + great ride experience = The Best :D

I echo people saying IOA's - it's a toss up between that and the Animal Kingdom's. Kali had that incredible drop, like nothing I have ever seen on rapids before. But then again, although the course of Popeye was quite dull it had an extraordinary amount of theming and stuff spraying you and all sorts.

But I am going to have to go with neither and say American Adventure's rapids, they were top notch :P

I loved the lifthill of Kali River Rapids at Animal Kingdom. Its really atmospheric with all the mist, tree's and the music/sounds. The theming of the destroyed forest is outstanding and the drop is pretty huge.

However, Popeye And Blutos Bilge Rat Barges is more fun, with the squirting water, theming and what not. And it has a nice drop :D

Vote goes to Barges. Beats Kali River Rapids by a fair distance IMO.

Just a bit

Alton's Rapids are nothing compared to Bilge Rat Barges and Kali River Rapids in my opinion.

When I first went on Altons with some mates on school trip last year, everybody all loved the rapids and thought they were the best thing since sliced bread. I was like you ain't seen nothing yet!

The thing is they're in 2 totally different Parks.

Alton has a generic Rapids ride suitable for everyone, whilst IOA's Rapids are quite frightful and exhilirating Rapids for thrill-seekers, as Islands Of Adventure is a 'thrill' Park compared to its sister, Universal Studios.

However when comparing Alton's and IOA's Rapids against each other, with ride experience being the determining factor, Bilge Rate Barges wins by a mile.

I get your point but I really don't see IOA's as being a real 'thrill' ride and inaccessible to some, when I was at IOA some 6 years ago I was a total wuss with rides and loved this and my Granny and lil sis who was 7 at the time both loved it too, so I really don't feel IOA's rapids are exclusivley for thrill seekers, this doesn't seem to be the case (or it wasn't when we went)

I never said that it was a thrill ride, but more thrilling than most ordinary Rapids. As the ride is located within IOA, primarily a 'thrill' park against its sister Universal Studios :D

I suppose, but Alton's rapids I still do think they need to put much more fun in them with perhaps some better theming it always seems slightly boring going around when Disneys and IOA's are amazing, and a bit of bounce not enough to send everyone sea sick but to make it more fun!

Maybe they could make them a bit wetter obviously Floridas a lot hotter all year round so people don't mind a thorough soaking as they will dry off very quick, and the weather isn't so kind to us here but perhaps when the weathers very hot and people want to get wet it's worth having extra water effects to get you wetter.
