World's smallest loop?

Mon Jul 14, 2008 3:51 pm

Does anyone know what is the smallest loop in the world? I guess it would be the one that reaches the smallest height but it good be done on tightness of loop or something. My brother asked me and it intrigued me that I didn't know or had never thought about it

Wikianswers claims the world's biggest loop is Kumba at Busch Gardens Africa (the one that loops around the lifthill). Can anyone verify this?

Any help with this question much appreciated :)

Apparently Mantis' loop is 119 ft, whereas Kumba's is 114 ft.

Smallest? I really have no idea.

Edit: Klondike and it's clones have 31' 10" loops, which seem very small to me. :P

Yeah I would say Klondike's at Hayling Island (Funland) is stupidly small. Probably the smallest loop in the U.K, but I'm not sure on a global scale.

The smallest loop in the word can be found on that back yard coaster over in America, Blue Flash it's called...

Klondike's loop is surprisingly smooth too... its just a shame the exit from the loop is ROOOUGH!

It is pretty small... but its your standard Pinfari layout. ZL-42 i think

Be honest though... can you call Blue Flash a coaster? if i'm not mistaken the ride car is an office chair or an old car seat... one of them!

Sorry but that is not a loop! That is a corkscrew, or at best a loopscrew :P

Also I was kinda thinking more of "proper" coasters for want of a better word. Unfortunately RCDb doesn't deem to have a search for specific stats, only all coasters with loops. Can anyone get confirmation Klondike's is the smallest? I wouldn't have thought so as it definitely looks like an off-the-shelf clone coaster...

I REALLY need to know this for some reason or it will annoy me all week :P
