I'd love to see if you got a straight answer on that one!
Ones posted will probably be the petty ones, as they dont want too much given away probably.

I asked how many bottles of Fizzy drinks they sell a year.

I remeber seeing loads of facts and figures like that a few years ago - which I think were on their website. Would like to know them now :D

Has it been intentional within the Merlin company for Thorpe Park to focus more on thrill rides for an older audience and Alton Towers towards the younger families, to stop any competition between the parks by aiming for different audiences?
And how does the park react when rides like Charlie and the Chocoalte Factory and the Dung Heap take a slating from not just enthusiasts but the general public?

in my head these are the biggeies at present and Id love to know the parks responses

Day 1:

Dan asks: With environmental impacts being an increasingly hot topic, what do you do to help? Are your park maps printed on recycled paper, do you use recyclable cups, how to you minimise water and electricity usage etc?

Legoland Windsor says...
Legoland Windsor is the latest UK Merlin Entertainments attraction to sign up to a major new recycling initiative set up by Coca-Cola Enterprises and Waste & Resources Action Programme (WRAP). The programme’s aim is to roll-out 80 ‘on-the-go’ recycling zones over the next three years to help educate the public about recycling. Legoland Windsor now has 35 recycling points around the 150 acre theme park. All of these special bins are clearly marked so that guests can responsibly and ethically dispose of aluminium drinks cans plus glass and plastic bottles and jars whilst on a family day out.

If these are the type of questions,

Hopefully there'll be some more interesting ones...

Thanks to www.themeparks-uk.com regardless!

Thats got to be a fake question! I wouldn't mind betting that the questions were submitted by the parks themselves in some sort of marketing initiative.

Some other answered questions:

Q: I love Coasters, perticualy ones themed around horror movies! Are there any plans to open One in the UK?

Q: I've just been given £125 for my birthday, is there anything I could buy that would enable me to enjoy your park more frequently?

Q: I love your Themepark but being in the middle of Staffordshire is just too far for one days travel. Is there anywhere I can stay near the park that offers good value, entertainment, warm food and possibly a waterpark?

I can see a trend. :P

You expected any of them to be user submitted?

Sorry I don't have the faith in Merlin to face the public so... publicly...

Oops, Forgot to mention, don't have a clue about any other UK parks.

:D

Drum roll please........................................
Day 2:

Thomas asks: Will anything become of the old Black Hole attraction at Alton Towers? It is just sitting there and a new attraction in the dark would be great.

Alton Towers says...
We have plans for all areas of the Resort. So ultimately, yes!

Stunning answer, seriously who would of thought? They arnt going to leave an empty tent there for ever! Amazing News!

Well it's hardly like they can say "yes the tent will be used in 2012 as SW7". :P It's obvious the one's about future attractions are going to be short-answered.

What exactly will Alton say about BH site? They are hardly going to disclose plans... and to be honest it's plainly obvious that they'd not want the BH sitting empty forever...

Daft queston with a predictable answer.
