I'm also really excited about this addition to Walygator - I think they'll be a lot of us going over there next year! :D

Absolutely, from what I gather Walygator is a relatively small park and to acquire a ride of that standing would probably do wonders for the gate figures.

Walygator is a crap park on paper - but this will be quite sensational! A must-do next year, somehow!

Being Orochi a 13 years old used ride had a very affordable price even for a small park. I think that Wlygato made a great deal buying it and I can't wait to get there next week and ride it.

I only hope that they change the colour scheme!

This has now been confirmed by the park. The ride is shipping in 118 containers via the Port of Rotterdam, and will be constructed over a period of 3 months ready for opening in April.

The park gets around 450,000 guests per year only. Parc Asterix called the sellers to see whether Walygator really had bought this as Asterix were so suprised - and must now be worried. The ride will be the largest coaster in France. The park fought off 7 other parks to get the ride, which will open coupled with a €3 (£2.60) admission price rise next season. They reckon that people from across Europe will come to ride it. They are busy working on a name for the coaster!

This park is fairly close to Europa, right?
I would certainly make detour to ride a Raptor invert in France. They are great coasters.

It's about 120 miles from Europa-Park (which, in terms of Europe, isn't a lot!)

I think a cheap, driving trip next Easter could be in order! It's not like the park has nothing else either - there's a half decent looking Woodie, plus a selection of other coasters and water rides and flats!

:D

Only a couple of hours drive then.
I expect it's likely Europa will be on the cards next season anyway, so a little side trip could be in order.

What's that random pile of sticks for at the beginning, they don't seem to be taking much care of unpacking them? :?

The bit of track you see at 17 seconds in looks very tight, which bit of the layout is that from?

LOL why does the head of Walygator look like some dodgy East End fairground geezer?

So many questions! Good find Dan!
