Alonso rides the Ferrari Rossa. Worth watching for the effect the launch has on his cheeks alone, although he does looks fairly bored through the 2nd half of the ride.

Looks pretty boring. Sure, the acceleration looks something else but the layout is very dull indeed, not to mention entirely themeless.

Watching that is a bit of a let down to be honest.

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi

It is a giant Rita really. It does look like it meanders around the circuit from about mid way through, but there are lots of close to the ground turns etc. I think it's one of those coasters that's much better than the POV's suggest.

Fast, yes, but there's absolutely no g-force, which is a bit of a waste, really. The hills are too stretched out to produce real airtime and half the s-shape ones don't turn through the top, which is the whole point of them, I know a lot of people arn't fans of those Rita/Bizarros style hills, but I like them, they produce airtime and through you over to the other side, which produces more airtime through the moving heartline, and then the buny hops seem slow. Those trims seem over the top.

Looks like lots of people lost their glasses on the first hill. Dangerous.

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi

Tue Nov 16, 2010 2:56 pm

I echo Dan here I watched this some weeks back, the launch looks ok sure but that's it..

It's lifeless, and the reminder of the ride is just a massive long way back to the station

I think they have made something that marks a huge symbol of ferrari world! although it does look tiny compared to the rest of the theme park! Shame that its the same layout as rita (just bigger) but at least they made an effort unlike the ring racer in germany!

It isn't the same layout as Rita at all. It is completely different. :?

Shame about its naff-factor. Oh well, if speed sells then...

Alonso and Massa on Formula Rossa. The start of the launch dosen't look too bad, but then it kicks in and speeds up...

Maybe there's some hope for it after all? Still not great, but not as naff as the mounted cams suggested.
