They reportedly planned a park for France in the 90s, but got frightened by the financial trouble of the then EuroDisney.

There is plenty of Brown Field sites that would happily have a theme park built on them with very little planning issues. Really a Harry Potter themepark should happen in the books birthplace.

I wouldn't say it'd be a wise idea to build a park in the UK, just due to the UK public's negative attitude towards theming and experience. It'd get ripped apart.

It'd be great to see one built near Paris, and for Paris to start becoming to Orlando of Europe!

Is this actually a whole theme park or a new land of the current Universal Studios park?

Warner Brothers wanted to buld a park just round the corner from me in the early 90's. The NIMBYs put a stop to that

There does need to be a balance between preservation and development....but this country is just ridiculous.

I am sick of all these Conservative supporting NIMBY baby boomers who seem intent on protecting their precious counties from any new developments. They care not about the economic benefits of proposed developments they just want to preserve a few boring fields and hedgerows. People are afraid of change.

I don't think that is fair.

I think a major development on such a scale would be very well visited, and well respected by British families. Hundreds of thousands, if not millions, have been to HP Orlando since it opened, from our shores.

Indeed! PortAventura was a joint venture between Universal, the Tussauds Group and Busch, and then from 2000 became solely owned by Universal until 2004.

Universal Studios Japan

Sat Aug 01, 2015 11:45 am

Recently the B&M flying roller coaster based around Jurassic Park has gone vertical. This topic can be for images of construction or anything else related to it. I believe it is set to open in 2016. It looks like an interesting development, I'll be following it myself certainly.

Here's the first track and supports.

Is it just me or does that track look tiny compared to other B&M flyers? I thought they have the larger track, same as the dives?

No, I believe they have the normal track gauge. The only rides B&M have produced with the wide track are the dive coasters and their clones.

Why does the one in Japan have a larger track then? Perhaps it's a slightly different design or coaster?
