It's been a while since any construction updates for Mine Blower have been posted here, so here's a few of the best shots from recent updates from Wild Gravity Travels:

Looks like the attraction's coming along great! The overbank in particular reminds of me of Cú Chulainn, which can only be a good thing.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, the ride will cost $9 to ride, or can be ridden using the wristband. Not bad value for a park like this!

Looks quite cool, but $9 is a bit expensive in my opinion! How many rides are you getting?!!

$9, roughly equivelant to £7, is hardly loads for a coaster of this magnitude at a pay-per-ride park in a tourist hotspot. Given that White Lightning over at Orlando and Kissimmee's own Wild Mouse, which are considerably less exciting and less new, are also $9 per ride, I personally wouldn't have been surprised if they charged at least $10, especially for its first year of operation.

You can also buy a full-day pass for $40 (£31), which easily pays for itself if you're planning a ride on all three coasters, a few re-rides on Mine Blower and a go on the excellent go-karts.

Looks like the first inversion to feature on a wooden coaster in Florida is coming along nicely! :D

The other way to look at it is that the average price for a Disney / Universal ticket is now around $110. So unless you're managing more than 11 rides in a visit (possible at Uni, less so at Disney), then you're still paying roughly the same price per ride.

I thought White Lightening was great by the way. For an off-the-shelf it rode a lot better than many bigger and more expensive custom woodies.

It's been confirmed that the second train for Mine Blower will have black along the top portion of the train, with the dynamite and bottom half remaining red!

Here's a look at the coaster from above! It's very close to testing now!

Thanks to Fun Spot Facebook for the image.

Do love GG coaster layouts, and this one looks set to be a great addition to their portfolio :)

That thing moves through that course at some speed. And that inversion over the station looks wonderful.

I know this is by Gravity Group but if GCI can deliver the same sort of pacing with SW8 it could be a really great coaster for Alton Towers!

Here's a seat mounted POV showing the perspective of the rider.

However what's really crazy is this video showing the wheels leaving the track over airtime hills!
