Today, when I was walking through Gloomy Wood I heard this:

Girl talking to her Mum: Which do you think is better, Nemesis or Air?
Mum responding to her Daughter: Oooh...Air!

The Mum needs to go and see a doctor about that! Perhaps, Dr Kelmen could correct her on that!

Nothing wrong with preferring Air to Nemesis, they're completely different ride experiences.

Yeah your right but Nemesis is just a beast! You can't compare Nemmy with Air. They are totally in different leagues.

In all my years of theme-parking this remains the only ride I've ever been evac'd from!

On the monorail as we were pulling into the station I heard this gem.

Women, pointing to the the Corkscrew monument to her friend: Oh look, that's The Smiler!
Me: ](*,)

And this one on Skyride:

Small girl: Daddy, is this ride scary?
Older girl: Yeah it goes upside down ten times!
Small girl, looking terrified: Daddy, does it really?
Dad: No sweetheart.
Older girl: Don't lie to her!

And this one on Hex:

Women: I can't believe that went upside down! What if we had died?!

October 2013 - Walking into park, past Spinball, which was testing. As, it stopped on first MCBR, some Geordie chav shouts out, 'it's broken down!'

May 2014 - On Bank holiday Monday, me and my non-enthusiast friend, went to the park. Whilst exiting Rita, he turns to me and asks, 'Nemesis is the stand-up one isn't it?' I think he may be getting mixed up with DM here, because he calls Oblivion 'Apocalypse', A LOT.

Also, he went on Thirteen for the first time. Throughout the entire ride, he was raving about how good it was, about how he was so surprised for it to be that good, especially the backwards section. After the ride, looking at the on-ride photos - 'yeah, that one's not very good, Air's a lot better.' WHAT????????????????????

On Monday, the queues were to close at 6pm. At around 2:20pm, we decided to join the queue for another ride of Thirteen. Just before joining the queue, he turned to us and said, 'after Thirteen I might call it a day.' An almost fourteen year old boy SHOULD NOT have that kind of attitude towards rollercoasters!

Off topic but that really annoys me! I went to Alton Towers at the start of this year with 15 friends from work. Two of them had to go at 3 because they had work. One lad in our group decided he was going to go with them, and the rest of us decided to go on a few more runs on Nemesis and Sonic Spinball before deciding to queue up for The Smiler last thing. They guy who went home then proceeded to moan on Facebook about how we'd abandoned him and how he was left out and wasted his money, despite the fact that my boyfriend had offered him a lift home. He also refused to go on rides if he wasn't next to someone he was friends with, and wouldn't carry any of his own things. Needless to say he didn't get invited out with us again.

On the same visit, it's not so much of a funny thing said, but something that happened. Some of us decided to redo The Flume (I opted out after one go) and we were watching them go down the final drop. Some small children who must've been on a school trip came down and started waving at us enthusiastically, completely unaware of the dripping water tap their boat was approaching. I felt so guilty watching them getting drenched, and their facial expressions were golden, from like shock to surprise to "OMG how did that happen!"

Heard this today
Chav 1 had just got off twirling toadstool and was talking to her friend that was in the ice age queue line.

Chav 1:OMG! That was so scary! Some girl took her restraint off and flew out of her seat!
Chav 2:OMG! Seriously?! Is she dead?
Chav 1:I don't think so but it would be cool if she was!
