My only problem with the building is the lack of colour. Blade and Ripsaw have that orange-y rust colour and the yellow and black stripes. This is just grey.

Erm.... You guys do know about the tunnels don't you?

I'll try and get some better photos as soon as I can showing where both tunnels start in the hole and where the one comes out by the original Nemesis.

Hold up! Tunnel! There are no tunnels on the planning application. Wouldn't that be a series violation of the plans? If there are though (and they’re not just evacuation tunnels) that's so awesome :D
The ride might well end with a maze in the Catacombs. I'll hold back my excitement though until we see something to suggest this.

I agree but the old Dynamo control building was just a grey colour.

Err... no? Is this part of the queueline or part of the pre-show? Post-lift but pre-ride?

No idea - i only saw the construction. What they plan on using them for I dont know. It may just be for evac/build regs - But the long one is a heck of a lot of trouble to go to (& cost!) if its not going to be used as part of the experience.

When you say it exits near Nemesis, where exactly? Facing into the pit, up near the queue etc.? Would be rather awesome if, for instance, it opened onto the pit (with a barrier to stop people exiting), though seems highly unlikely...

I will believe these tunnels when I see them, as part of me just thinks it's highly unlikely what with them not being on the plans. But having brought us the photos you do seem like a reliable source, so we shall see, if you can get us some better photos it would be great :D

On a side note, going back to Marks comment about a tunnel down to the pit, I agree, it seems highly unlikely, but, just think, if the tunnel went from the chamber for N:WLB to the pit of Nemesis, think of how it would channel the roar of Nemesis into the new ride. How amazing would that be ;)

I recently wondered will they be using the old abandonned dynamo queue line which streches over the hill right down to the nemesis entrance, im pretty sure they will due to the lack of space in the area.

Given that the exit point/shop is shown on the plans, it will be interesting to see how these tunnels fit into the experience, if indeed they are going to be part of it and do actually exist (I have to say my trolldar has been activited).

ALL plans I have seen have no mention of any tunnels. The queueline is clearly marked on the plans and uses the old Dynamo/Nemesis queueline. There is nothing about tunnels and creating more tunnel systems around Nemesis would surely make the ground unsafe for the ride above. Plus Im almost certain they would never get planning permission to create tunnels that stretch that far.

Ok heres the queueline plan has detailed on the application form:
Image

From what I can make out, the queue will follow the existing queueline almost identically, all the white coloured areas are the existing floor, light brown being new raised flooring to avoid damage to the large trees either side and dark brown being new block paving.

I can only guess the actual queueline layout, but Im sure my guess is fairly spot on. Red being the normal queue, blue being the single rider queue and orange being fastrack.

Like I say, Ive no idea what they are to be used for... you clearly know more than I do about it.  I came on here in good faith to share a few photos of what I see.

I subsequently noticed a lack of discussion around the tunnels, which I thought odd so thought I'd point them out. What you do with the info is your call, I've nothing to gain by bullshooting anyone

I'm back there soon - if I can, I'll get more photos.

Definately worth holding judgement until we see the photos.

One thing we need to remember is not all the plans go online. We only got the internal plans because they where layered behind the roof plan. Its possible they back filled a tunnell as access to the lifts as that big hole doesnt seem to have space for the lifts, access stairs and ride.

Its also possible if they are small that they are cabling channels for the ride. Either way will be interesting to see them :-)

Im not saying there isnt any tunnels being dug, Im just saying that they are not a part of the queueline and I cannot see them going anywhere near Nemesis as it would cause all sorts of issues with the current Nemesis pit.

This is the lift :

The tunnels are people-size, not cable-size.

Have you still got the blurred photo of the tunnels that you mentioned?

In my judgement, if there were tunnels at the lowest level, going at a flat rate, they'll appear out in the queueline (in the big grassy areas). So I doubt they'll actually lead anywhere if they've got them.

But thats not to say there isn't any tunnels - they could have easily dug a certain distance for theming... dead end corridors (but not so that you can see the dead end, unless its like bricked up). All adds to things I suppose!

Just a thought I have had regarding these apparent tunnels.

It is best to wait until we see some solid proof of these in my opinion. I would not be surprised if this was someone in Towers management attempting to fool us, they have done this on here before (bubble machine in TOTT last year). If you think about it, to get these photos you have to have been on park, and seeing as the park is currently closed it is obvious that a member of staff has taken them. Chances are it is someone slightly higher up that has done so as I don't think staff that are working on general maintenance would want to risk being seen taking them. Obviously this is just speculation on my part, but having spoken to managers at Towers I know they like to do things like this on these forums.

Apologies to Rbts is this is not the case, I'm sure you can understand me wanting to speculate though! Either way your photos are great and we'd all love to see more!

WLB is supposed to be a small ride/addition to the park, so why would AT go to all the trouble of building tunnels and the like?

It really doesn't make sense.
