UK theme parks from another point of view!

Haunted house and physics

Thu Mar 01, 2007 11:33 am

In physics yesterday we were watching a video on radiation and infra-red etc. The video looked asthough it was made in the 90s.

Anyway a part about infra-red came on and suddenly the Haunted House in Alton Towers came onto screen and they were outside talking about how infra-red is used in video cameras on dark theme park rides. They were then in the queue line just inside the house where the portraits are showing the cameras and that. It was nice to see parts of the old Haunted House again even if it was a 3 minute clip.

Just wondering has anyone else seen this video in physics?

I haven't seen this video but I saw some good pictures of 80s Alton in a physics textbook. It's the first time that I realised that at one point Corkscrew was yellow. I've also seen some footage of 70s/80s BPPB in a physics video
