Well Trains have decent Luggage space, and they run quite regulary.

Could be quite expensive though, though it is a potential alternative :D

i used to only ever visit alton when local coach companies arranged trips to there. it a shame national express doesnt offer some kinda service as i do feel for people who rely on public transport getting there. im sure i once saw a bus service from stoke train station direct to the park a few years back wonder if thats still running but i bet its costly.

I think people meant that you could go from Birmingham to Stoke Rail Station, if it was easier than going from Birmingham to Uttoxeter Rail Station.

I used to live in Birmingham and the best way of getting to Alton Towers was quite simply a train from New Street to Stoke-on-Trent (run at 18 and 48 minutes past the hour) which takes around 45 minutes. Then, connect onto the Alton Towers bus service 14 (see times in this forum) which takes around 50 minutes.

It's easy.
