Could always take the train. Stoke -> Euston, Euston -> Waterloo, Waterloo -> Chessington South. Journey around 3 hours.

Edit: scratch that - it's a little late to get cheap tickets - would be looking at around £25+ each way.

Edit2: If you've got a railcard, would be around £37 for an open return, which isn't awful...

Yeah i did look into this and the cost is just way too much :( Plus isnt it Euston > Vauxhall?

If John of the forum goes down sat night, i'll just stop with him near Stains/Felt and get the 950 bus in the morning. Depends if he has the time due to his uni work. Will find out tomorrow or wednesday hopefully. Just wanted a lift really, then i could enjoy the whole weekend.

There is no 950 on sunday apparently, though there is an infrequent local bus that goes past the park. Details are in the thorpe park 2010 topic.

Is the Monkey Puzzle built into/onto the hotel or is it a local pub? A strange name either way. :?

I'm seriously looking forward to this and need a break, is about ready to pop and need to unwind. :(

Quick question: as I'm coming on the Sunday only, how would it be best for me to join up with the group?

Looking forward to this :)

Need transport to and from this event. Willing to pay and willing to travel to get to certain places, but last minute train tickets are a fortune.

Booked in for the Sat night at the Chess Hotel, think we're gonna check out Chessington Zoo/Sealife on the Satuday so doubt we will come into London unless everyone is planning to make an evening of it down there.
Should still be a good mini trip to get the season in motion!
